2017-10-11 01:18:08 <kolbert> Hi there, I'm having an issue with a PNG render of a vector image https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Canadian_Barnstar_-_Gold.svg
2017-10-11 01:49:49 <Esther> Hi kolbert. What's the issue?
2017-10-11 01:50:26 <Esther> Ah, seems to have been resolved.
2017-10-11 01:50:26 <kolbert> Well, the original version I uploaded rendered fine as a vector but was black as a PNG
2017-10-11 01:50:30 <kolbert> yeah :)
2017-10-11 01:50:35 <kolbert> thanks, though!
2017-10-11 05:06:35 <drewmutt> Just a heads up, the "read more" button on that maintenance template is b0rked.
2017-10-11 05:51:40 <dungodung> what's up with the sites? won't load anything, and I see the IRC server is dead
2017-10-11 05:52:00 <drewmutt> o_O
2017-10-11 05:52:03 <dungodung> ah, it's back
2017-10-11 05:52:13 <drewmutt> Was curious how you sent that message :P
2017-10-11 05:52:38 <dungodung> well, I waited a few minutes, and then by the time I posted about it, it got resolved x_O
2017-10-11 06:04:19 <legoktm> dungodung: which IRC server?
2017-10-11 06:21:02 <dungodung> legoktm: irc.wikimedia.org but it's recovered now (or my connection might have been flaky, dunno)
2017-10-11 06:21:10 <legoktm> ok :)
2017-10-11 06:21:27 <_joe_> dungodung: when did you experience issues?
2017-10-11 06:21:47 <_joe_> the time, so that I can see if it correlates with any other event
2017-10-11 06:22:08 <dungodung> well, around 5:49 UTC
2017-10-11 06:42:52 <Minato826> is there a Pywikibot script that can locate similar title of a article Ex: Piwikibot & Pywikibot just to resolve/correct dual pages
2017-10-11 11:17:23 <Joaquinito01> Please deploy a 1.31.0-wmf.3 version of MediaWiki now in group 0.
2017-10-11 11:19:18 <Joaquinito01> Please deploy a 1.31.0-wmf.3 version of MediaWiki now in group 0.
2017-10-11 11:25:20 <andre__> That's not how it works.
2017-10-11 13:58:20 <Nudin_WMDE> Technical Advice IRC meeting starting in 60 minutes in channel #wikimedia-tech, hosts: @addshore & @Andrew-WMDE - all questions welcome, more infos: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Technical_Advice_IRC_Meeting
2017-10-11 14:43:50 <jem> andre__: That was a very known eswiki/es-channels troll
2017-10-11 14:59:44 <addshore> o/
2017-10-11 14:59:50 <addshore> ohia CFisch_WMDE
2017-10-11 15:00:03 <CFisch_WMDE> \o/
2017-10-11 15:01:08 <jem> says hi
2017-10-11 15:01:10 <CFisch_WMDE> So welcome everybody to our weekly Technical Advice IRC meeting
2017-10-11 15:01:28 <CFisch_WMDE> hi jem! :-)
2017-10-11 15:01:56 <jem> :)
2017-10-11 15:03:50 <CFisch_WMDE> So we have one point posted on the agenda, but whoever has technical questions in the wikimedia / mediawiki world and needs help feel free to ask
2017-10-11 15:04:17 <jem> knows about that one point
2017-10-11 15:04:22 <CFisch_WMDE> jem your thinking of developing a spell checking gadget, right?
2017-10-11 15:04:42 <jem> Well, I'm thinking about improving the current gadget
2017-10-11 15:04:47 <DoRD> Hello, we're having an issue removing an autoblock on enwiki. Special:Unblock is giving an error "#7892601 isn't a valid username."
2017-10-11 15:04:49 <jem> The one linked in my point
2017-10-11 15:04:56 <CFisch_WMDE> yeah right
2017-10-11 15:05:38 <jem> But my task list is huuuuge so if there will be "official" work in it, I prefer to do other things
2017-10-11 15:06:19 <CFisch_WMDE> So I asked James_F yesterday if the WMF has plans on doing anything with spell checking
2017-10-11 15:06:24 <jem> Great
2017-10-11 15:06:34 <CFisch_WMDE> and he said no :-)
2017-10-11 15:06:46 <CFisch_WMDE> so they thought about it in the past
2017-10-11 15:07:28 <CFisch_WMDE> but it seems hard to do it efficiently
2017-10-11 15:07:36 <addshore> DoRD: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Unblock&wpTarget=%237892601 ?
2017-10-11 15:07:42 <jem> Interesting
2017-10-11 15:07:55 <jem> Not even for VisualEditor? The LanguageTool extension?
2017-10-11 15:08:04 <CFisch_WMDE> so currently they are not looking at it anymore
2017-10-11 15:08:31 <DoRD> addshore: yes
2017-10-11 15:08:58 <smartyrad1> Hey guys, I need some help with the eventlogging module
2017-10-11 15:09:15 <addshore> DoRD: shall I give it a go? are you okay for me to remove your block?
2017-10-11 15:09:24 <DoRD> please
2017-10-11 15:09:26 <addshore> hi smartyrad1!
2017-10-11 15:09:27 <CFisch_WMDE> jem I think if you are motivated to do it, give it a try
2017-10-11 15:09:39 <smartyrad1> addshore: Hi again :)
2017-10-11 15:09:52 <addshore> DoRD: yup, I get the same issue
2017-10-11 15:10:03 <CFisch_WMDE> it sounded a bit, like the last approaches in that direction are from some while ago
2017-10-11 15:10:12 <addshore> I think it might be a regression, let me have a look
2017-10-11 15:10:20 <DoRD> addshore: thanks
2017-10-11 15:10:49 <smartyrad1> Actually the issue is that there is some ambiguity in the eventlogging module's documentation. I was hoping someone out here might be able to help out
2017-10-11 15:10:56 <James_F> jem: The LanguageTool extension was undeployable because of performance, yeah. :-(
2017-10-11 15:11:10 <addshore> DoRD: I think https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/377048/ will have broken it
2017-10-11 15:11:34 <addshore> DoRD: I'll file a ticket for you
2017-10-11 15:12:23 <jem> Ok, James_F, thanks, so if we just want to pick LanguageTool correction lists it will have to be "by hand", also
2017-10-11 15:12:51 <James_F> Yeah.
2017-10-11 15:12:59 <DoRD> addshore: yep, validating for username of IP would probably break it alright. Thanks!
2017-10-11 15:13:11 <DoRD> *or*
2017-10-11 15:13:38 <smartyrad1> I have tried registering the schema as given in the documentation( Basicallyu crested the schema page and also added the schema name and version to the extension.json of the eventlogging module) but I am unable to use the schema in the signup page. Moreover, the documentation mentions that a table will be created automatically in the database for the schema but that does not seem to happen in reality
2017-10-11 15:14:10 <jem> Ok then, so I will begin to make plans about it, as the tool/gadget is useful and a lot of things can be improved
2017-10-11 15:14:18 <jem> Thanks everyone
2017-10-11 15:14:55 <CFisch_WMDE> jem https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Dnaber is the User that maintains https://www.languagetool.org/
2017-10-11 15:15:09 <smartyrad1> That module has been quite a blocker for me as I have been stuck with it for quite some time now
2017-10-11 15:15:16 <addshore> DoRD: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T177952
2017-10-11 15:15:25 <CFisch_WMDE> he said it you need help there just post in https://forum.languagetool.org/
2017-10-11 15:16:12 <jem> Ok, CFisch_WMDE, I will, after the new information :)
2017-10-11 15:16:19 <CFisch_WMDE> :-)
2017-10-11 15:16:32 <DoRD> thanks again, addshore. I
2017-10-11 15:16:56 <DoRD> *I've worked around this particular block by changing the original target account's block.
2017-10-11 15:18:04 <CFisch_WMDE> smartyrad1: I am not that in to the eventlogging module but if there is a table missing you might need to run the update script
2017-10-11 15:18:36 <addshore> DoRD: your welcome! :)
2017-10-11 15:19:06 <addshore> smartyrad1: "schema in the signup page" unable how?
2017-10-11 15:19:06 <CFisch_WMDE> smartyrad1: meaning maintenance/update.php ;-)
2017-10-11 15:19:15 <smartyrad1> CFisch_WMDE : Yeah, I did try that but no change either
2017-10-11 15:19:26 <addshore> *"unable to use the schema in the signup page"
2017-10-11 15:19:42 <smartyrad1> addshore, CFisch_WMDE: basically I guess I am missing something
2017-10-11 15:20:23 <smartyrad1> Firstly, when I run a code that I have made, it just says schema does not exist or mempty
2017-10-11 15:20:29 <smartyrad1> That's a console error
2017-10-11 15:20:39 <DoRD> also, thanks for sending me here, legoktm ;)
2017-10-11 15:21:03 <addshore> DoRD: looks like there is already a patch up for a potential fix :)
2017-10-11 15:21:25 <addshore> smartyrad1: do you have the code somewhere that we can look at it?
2017-10-11 15:21:31 <smartyrad1> Here is the code https://pastebin.com/m6pQ8EVY
2017-10-11 15:21:37 <addshore> :D
2017-10-11 15:21:56 <smartyrad1> This is where I am calling the schema
2017-10-11 15:23:26 <smartyrad1> I have registered the schema by going to the extension.json of the eventlogging module and adding https://pastebin.com/fNcjaH9A
2017-10-11 15:23:31 <addshore> smartyrad1: I'm not sure thats how you use eventlogging in JS
2017-10-11 15:23:53 <smartyrad1> I'll add a link to the documentation here. One sec :)
2017-10-11 15:24:59 <addshore> smartyrad1: https://doc.wikimedia.org/EventLogging/master/js/#!/api/mw.eventLog.Core-method-logEvent
2017-10-11 15:26:27 <addshore> the method your currently using is built in to core and afaik is only used to other types of tracking data, essentially just counters, https://doc.wikimedia.org/mediawiki-core/master/js/#!/api/mw-method-track
2017-10-11 15:27:56 <smartyrad1> addshore : Yes true but the problem is that when I try using logevent(), it gives me a console error
2017-10-11 15:28:07 <smartyrad1> That says schema missing or empty
2017-10-11 15:28:50 <smartyrad1> So basically I guess I have either set up eventlogging wrong or maybe I haven't registered the schema properly
2017-10-11 15:28:58 <addshore> smartyrad1: have your read https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:EventLogging#Developer_setup ?
2017-10-11 15:29:29 <addshore> "I have registered the schema by going to the extension.json of the eventlogging module" hmm, what do you mean the extension.json of the eventlogging module?
2017-10-11 15:29:54 <smartyrad1> addshore : Yes, that documentation is what I had followed
2017-10-11 15:30:12 <smartyrad1> $wgEventLoggingBaseUri = 'http://localhost:8080/event.gif';; is something I am not sure of
2017-10-11 15:30:36 <smartyrad1> The reason being 8080 is the port used for vagrant whereas Im running a manual installation
2017-10-11 15:30:54 <smartyrad1> Moreover, there is no file called event.gif in my main directoryu
2017-10-11 15:31:50 <smartyrad1> addshore : By that , I meant that I did what was given here https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:EventLogging/Guide#Deploying_a_schema
2017-10-11 15:32:11 <addshore> smartyrad1: it looks like you may also want to give https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:EventLogging/Guide#Debugging a read
2017-10-11 15:32:32 <addshore> afaik you need to set something up to listen to the event logging calls
2017-10-11 15:32:53 <smartyrad1> Tried that as well :( . It listens well i.e everything I try to log shows up there
2017-10-11 15:33:10 <smartyrad1> But no tables created , no schemas found
2017-10-11 15:33:39 <addshore> hmm, I'm not sure how the dev setup works with eventlogging
2017-10-11 15:33:56 <addshore> but if the events show up correctly then in "production" it would work
2017-10-11 15:34:23 <addshore> Are you just trying to develop something against event logging right? or are you trying to setup event logging for actual use on a real wiki?
2017-10-11 15:34:28 <smartyrad1> True that is why I am not sure as to where I am going wrong
2017-10-11 15:35:15 <smartyrad1> Infact I just want to be able to use mw.eventLog.logEvent without any errors being shown
2017-10-11 15:35:21 <CFisch_WMDE> smartyrad1: for the event.gif - I think there does not need to be a actual event.gif file on your server dir I think it's some server magic - my rough guess is that you put your webserver address in there and pretend you have a event.gif in the webroot
2017-10-11 15:35:53 <addshore> smartyrad1: you said "It listens well i.e everything I try to log shows up there" do errors still happen then?
2017-10-11 15:36:39 <smartyrad1> addshore : Initially it would throw me an error
2017-10-11 15:37:32 <smartyrad1> <CFisch_WMDE>: Oh okay then I'll renmove the 8080 port number as apache does not use 8080 probably
2017-10-11 15:38:01 <smartyrad1> addshore : One workaround I found is that when I try opening my browser console
2017-10-11 15:38:04 <smartyrad1> and type
2017-10-11 15:38:34 <smartyrad1> mw.loader.load( 'schema.CaptchaMouseData');
2017-10-11 15:38:49 <smartyrad1> and then type mw.eventLog.schemas
2017-10-11 15:39:14 <smartyrad1> Then my schema shows up in the list otherwise the console replies undefined
2017-10-11 15:39:54 <addshore> smartyrad1: I think you might need to add that as a dependancy of whatever JS resource loder module your making!
2017-10-11 15:40:09 <smartyrad1> But then when I try using the logevent function then it again throws the same erro
2017-10-11 15:40:53 <smartyrad1> addshore : Can you point me to any documentation for that? I don't think thats mentioned in the documentation
2017-10-11 15:41:22 <smartyrad1> addshore: I feel thats a possible reason too
2017-10-11 15:41:59 <smartyrad1> Actually my fellow members working on that task were also not able to get thos module set-up right
2017-10-11 15:42:14 <smartyrad1> *colleagues
2017-10-11 15:43:36 <smartyrad1> addshore : I am actually working with a special page i.e. the usersignup page and not a module so Im not sure how to do that
2017-10-11 15:44:00 <addshore> do you have a git repo for the code?
2017-10-11 15:44:10 <addshore> oh wait, your working on the page in core if I remember?
2017-10-11 15:44:57 <smartyrad1> addshore : Yes I'm working on a page in core
2017-10-11 15:45:11 <smartyrad1> addshore : Now when I tried, I get this error mw.eventLog.logEvent is not a function
2017-10-11 15:46:48 <smartyrad1> addshore : I do not have repo for that :(
2017-10-11 15:47:19 <CFisch_WMDE> you probably also need to load ext.eventLogging mw.loader.load( 'ext.eventLogging' );
2017-10-11 15:47:54 <smartyrad1> Nope< I still get the error :(
2017-10-11 15:48:01 <CFisch_WMDE> hm..
2017-10-11 15:48:04 <addshore> smartyrad1: so for extension JS modules you do stuff like https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki-extensions-GettingStarted/blob/master/extension.json#L76
2017-10-11 15:48:12 <addshore> smartyrad1: what is the JS file in core called that you are editing?
2017-10-11 15:49:29 <smartyrad1> addshore: I created my own js file as a module in core( I have registered in resources.php as well)
2017-10-11 15:49:56 <smartyrad1> But this is the complete code for that https://pastebin.com/m6pQ8EVY
2017-10-11 15:50:23 <addshore> well, mw.track is still wrong
2017-10-11 15:50:57 <smartyrad1> addshore: This is the updated code https://pastebin.com/cWEEdz0D
2017-10-11 15:51:02 <addshore> but if you were to add the schema.FOO to the dependencies of th module you added to Resources.php then i expect it would work, when calling mw.eventLog.logevent
2017-10-11 15:51:15 <smartyrad1> addshore : Yes I am no longer using mw.track
2017-10-11 15:51:20 <addshore> okay
2017-10-11 15:51:32 <addshore> ext.eventLogging should also be in the dependancies of the module in Resources.php
2017-10-11 15:52:05 <addshore> Although, this hits a problem, as EventLogging is not in core, it is an extension, and thus not always available to load
2017-10-11 15:52:13 <smartyrad1> Ah that's an excellent point!
2017-10-11 15:52:21 <smartyrad1> Maybe thats the problem!
2017-10-11 15:52:39 <addshore> well, you shouldnt run into that while developing, as you do have event logging loaded
2017-10-11 15:53:18 <addshore> If you add ext.eventLogging and schema.CaptchaMouseData to the dependancies of the module you added to Resources.php everything should work (or just load those prior to doing the function call in the JS)
2017-10-11 15:54:32 <smartyrad1> Is this how I add it(JS file is loaded) but the dependency : 'dependencies' => [ 'mediawiki.EventLogging'] ?
2017-10-11 15:55:07 <addshore> no, see https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki-extensions-GettingStarted/blob/master/extension.json#L95
2017-10-11 15:55:30 <addshore> I think adding the schema will also load the rest of event logging
2017-10-11 15:56:32 <smartyrad1> Hmm, I have added the stuff to the Resources.php of CORE actually
2017-10-11 15:56:41 <addshore> yes
2017-10-11 15:57:08 <smartyrad1> https://pastebin.com/i1YMcVTw
2017-10-11 15:57:19 <smartyrad1> Because that is where I have defined my module
2017-10-11 15:57:59 <addshore> yes, but remove mediawiki.EventLogging, just have schema.FOO
2017-10-11 15:58:07 <addshore> where FOO is whatvever your schema is called
2017-10-11 15:59:00 <Lucas_WMDE> I have a small question – is my understanding correct that page access via index.php does not support CORS or cross-origin access via JavaScript at all?
2017-10-11 15:59:24 <smartyrad1> addshore: Okay , I'll try it out
2017-10-11 15:59:47 <addshore> Lucas_WMDE: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:CORS
2017-10-11 16:00:10 <Lucas_WMDE> addshore: I did try to RTFM, specifically that page, a few times :)
2017-10-11 16:00:31 <Lucas_WMDE> which is why my question is “I can’t do this, right?” and not “how do I do this?” :D
2017-10-11 16:00:40 <Lucas_WMDE> just double-checking in case I misundersrtood
2017-10-11 16:00:44 <smartyrad1> addshore : Now I get this [event.CaptchaMouseData] Missing or empty schema
2017-10-11 16:01:04 <addshore> Lucas_WMDE: https://github.com/wikimedia/operations-mediawiki-config/blob/12f5c49b44126f11301623c6c6ff685c0d1844a6/wmf-config/CommonSettings.php#L598
2017-10-11 16:01:56 <addshore> Lucas_WMDE: where are you making requests from?
2017-10-11 16:02:12 <CFisch_WMDE> @smartyrad1 in theory it should also be possible to load all dependencies there in JS, but you have to make sure, the loading the dependencies is done before running your code
2017-10-11 16:02:15 <Lucas_WMDE> addshore: in the end, query.wikidata.org
2017-10-11 16:02:18 <CFisch_WMDE> e.g. like that
2017-10-11 16:02:28 <addshore> Lucas_WMDE: query.wikidata.org -> wikidata.org ?
2017-10-11 16:02:30 <CFisch_WMDE> https://www.irccloud.com/pastebin/41RpWQ5S/
2017-10-11 16:02:31 <Lucas_WMDE> but AFAIK $wgCrossSiteAJAXDomains is only for api.php, not index.php
2017-10-11 16:02:45 <Lucas_WMDE> I know how to get it to work with api.php, but I want to know if index.php is possible
2017-10-11 16:02:48 <addshore> Lucas_WMDE: ahh yes
2017-10-11 16:03:02 <Lucas_WMDE> because API requests aren’t cached if I understand correctly
2017-10-11 16:04:06 <addshore> Lucas_WMDE: indeed it is only for api.php
2017-10-11 16:04:21 <smartyrad1> CFisch_WMDE: yes I have ensured that but don't know why this schema thingy seems to be really weird :(
2017-10-11 16:04:21 <Lucas_WMDE> okay, thanks
2017-10-11 16:04:30 <addshore> Lucas_WMDE: what were you trying to use it for?
2017-10-11 16:04:43 <Lucas_WMDE> addshore: geoshapes on commons
2017-10-11 16:04:50 <Lucas_WMDE> showing them in the query service :)
2017-10-11 16:05:01 <addshore> but why do you need to use the index.php instal of api.php?
2017-10-11 16:05:07 <Lucas_WMDE> so I need a CORS-enabled, cacheable way to access data
2017-10-11 16:05:13 <Lucas_WMDE> I need the raw page content
2017-10-11 16:05:16 <Lucas_WMDE> with index.php that’s ?action=raw
2017-10-11 16:05:28 <Lucas_WMDE> with the API the only way I could find was some ugly action=query prop=revisions rvprop=content thing
2017-10-11 16:05:51 <addshore> hmmm
2017-10-11 16:05:52 <Lucas_WMDE> I think I’ll create a ticket, then someone can still tell me that it’s not necessary, I should do it like so-and-so ;)
2017-10-11 16:05:59 <smartyrad1> After you have created a schema, you must register it, by using the $wgEventLoggingSchemas configuration variable
2017-10-11 16:06:06 <smartyrad1> This is something I havent done yet
2017-10-11 16:06:15 <smartyrad1> Any ideas as to how to do it?
2017-10-11 16:06:54 <addshore> Lucas_WMDE: yeh, make a ticket :)
2017-10-11 16:07:06 <addshore> but, that other api call looks like it might be the answer
2017-10-11 16:07:16 <addshore> but yeh... that wouldnt be cached
2017-10-11 16:07:26 <Lucas_WMDE> okay, ticket it is. thanks :)
2017-10-11 16:08:01 <addshore> smartyrad1: so, again, its a bit odd as your doing this in core
2017-10-11 16:08:11 <addshore> but adding it to your localsettings.php should suffice to test that it works
2017-10-11 16:08:42 <addshore> Core AFAIK doesnt do any event logging at all, only extensions do.
2017-10-11 16:08:59 <smartyrad1> $wgEventLoggingSchemas=['CaptchaMouseData' => 10];
2017-10-11 16:09:01 <CFisch_WMDE> smartyrad1: addshore I have to leave ... good luck!
2017-10-11 16:09:05 <CFisch_WMDE> waves
2017-10-11 16:09:06 <addshore> That is our 1 hour timeslot gone! :D (slightly gone over)
2017-10-11 16:09:10 <addshore> waves at CFisch_WMDE
2017-10-11 16:09:14 <addshore> smartyrad1: indeed
2017-10-11 16:09:17 <smartyrad1> Added this but stil stuck
2017-10-11 16:09:23 <smartyrad1> thanks a lot guys
2017-10-11 16:09:31 <addshore> smartyrad1: $wgEventLoggingSchemas['CaptchaMouseData'] = 10;
2017-10-11 16:10:06 <smartyrad1> Really appreciate your effort .I'll post my updates next week :)
2017-10-11 16:10:15 <addshore> once you do that, the schema will actually be registered, and it should then be able to load in JS!
2017-10-11 16:10:36 <smartyrad1> Nopw stil not working :(
2017-10-11 16:10:50 <addshore> what happens now?
2017-10-11 16:11:00 <smartyrad1> Same error [event.CaptchaMouseData] Missing or empty schema
2017-10-11 16:11:25 <smartyrad1> This schema registration is the biggest thing !
2017-10-11 16:11:38 <smartyrad1> Everything else can be debugged but not this
2017-10-11 16:12:00 <smartyrad1> *by me
2017-10-11 16:12:29 <addshore> well, again, this is all a bit odd as people generally do this in extensions not in core
2017-10-11 16:12:36 <addshore> which ticket were you working on again?
2017-10-11 16:12:59 <smartyrad1> https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T175331
2017-10-11 16:13:28 <smartyrad1> Even the others working on this task were unable to get this working
2017-10-11 16:13:42 <addshore> so smartyrad1 the task says "Make MediaWiki log some data on registration. For example, you could use the LocalUserCreated hook and record the IP of the user."
2017-10-11 16:13:56 <addshore> that could be done as an extension
2017-10-11 16:14:12 <addshore> Right now I think you are working on mouse tracking on the registration page?
2017-10-11 16:14:15 <smartyrad1> Will that allow me to use the Eventlogging schema as well?
2017-10-11 16:14:19 <smartyrad1> Yes , true
2017-10-11 16:15:34 <addshore> I dont think there is a hook that would allow an extension to modify the registration page
2017-10-11 16:15:58 <smartyrad1> So thats a blocker as well :(
2017-10-11 16:16:02 <addshore> smartyrad1: I think it would be worth writing another comment on the phab ticket stating what you are currently trying to do, and the issues that you are running into so that other people can comment
2017-10-11 16:16:35 <addshore> I'v just subscribed to the ticket so I'll see when you post
2017-10-11 16:16:49 <smartyrad1> Thanks a ton! :)
2017-10-11 16:17:00 <smartyrad1> Everyone seems to be facing similar issues
2017-10-11 16:17:40 <smartyrad1> Infact the accepted patch does not seem to do everything https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/381787
2017-10-11 16:18:41 <smartyrad1> These commits wont be merged but I am trying to get it up and running. Moreover I guess I'll use vagrant to set up a fresh instllation in it as well in the meantime
2017-10-11 16:21:05 <smartyrad1> addshore: Thanks for your help, I wont waste your time anymore this week and hipefully I'll have this up by next week and report to you :)
