[00:03:55] does git fetch origin / git pull take a long time for you on the mw-core repo .. it seems to take for ever for me. not sure if it is a misconfig on my end or something else is up (it is quick on the parsoid repo). [00:07:57] how slow are we talking? [00:08:17] git pull 2.04s user 0.92s system 30% cpu 9.717 total [00:08:23] a minute or more? [00:09:15] timing it now. [00:09:15] and then run it immediately again after... [00:09:16] git pull 0.38s user 0.30s system 9% cpu 7.420 total [00:09:44] both the same protocols I presume? [00:10:26] so probably something on my end. i recently (a month or so back) cleaned out and recloned the repo .. maybe i goofed up then. will poke around tomorrow. [00:11:44] if it's a recent clone, i'd presume it'd be less likely to be that [00:13:00] 3m13.342s [00:16:44] huh ... in 1 of 5 attempts, even the parsoid repo one took 25s. normally 2s. anyway, a mystery for tomorrow in case this persists. [00:22:38] turned out to be my wifi connection. ;-) [00:23:16] on a hunch, i reconnected and back to normal. [00:24:30] stuff like that used to happen to Victoria all the time because she had 2 wifi networks at home, normal and vpn'ed to UK, and her laptop would sometimes pick the UK vpn connection. :) [00:28:16] ha!
