[09:18:30] What are the best practices for splitting items? [09:19:10] I have an item that is about both a building and the organisation that is in it right now.. [09:21:27] Ah, found: Help:Split an item [10:42:04] Hello everyone, i hope i'm in the good place to ask my question. I'm a developper and i'm thinking about using Wikidata as a CMS, but before studying all the ins and outs i'd like to have the community opinion on this idea. In my understanding the advantage of using Wikidata for my needs would be that the structure for my backend data would be flexible while i can request more or less of this data to build my frontend. In other words [10:42:29] * and structure a lot of data on wikidata and choose the data i want to show on my frontend with the Wikibase API. [10:45:05] Sean_: yes, that is correct. [10:46:26] nice, thank you for your answer :) [13:08:13] hello [13:09:02] Any Update on AIM [15:17:02] query.wikidata.org is returning timeouts when running a query [20:01:49] *sigh* https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q39491536&action=history [20:05:47] * reosarevok sighs too [20:05:51] Is this common? [20:06:28] new contributors not reading anything? yes [20:06:41] but that's not Wikidata-specific [20:07:32] I mean, there's not reading the guidelines and tips, and there's edit-warring about a duplicate website link :p [20:08:22] (I have enough history of data projects to know nobody reads anything) [20:08:39] I had people letting me message on my talk page to know why data kept disappearing *they* were deleting [20:08:42] so [20:09:02] ... I see :D [20:10:00] I assume the answer is no, but [20:10:09] my answer was like "… maybe you should stop deleting it and it will be fine?" [20:10:27] Nobody here wants to maintain and run the SPARQL endpoint for MusicBrainz, right? :p [20:11:08] I wouldn't have the faintest idea of what is needed to run an endpoint [20:11:12] so no [20:11:48] Yeah, that's kinda our problem too :( Our only volunteer maintainer left, so we don't have anything working anymore, and some people keep asking
