[11:58:58] RECOVERY - puppet last run on wdqs1009 is OK: OK: Puppet is currently enabled, last run 27 seconds ago with 0 failures [14:01:00] Technical Advice IRC meeting starting in 60 minutes in channel #wikimedia-tech, hosts: @CFisch_WMDE & @amir1 - all questions welcome, more infos: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Technical_Advice_IRC_Meeting [14:50:54] Technical Advice IRC meeting starting in 10 minutes in channel #wikimedia-tech, hosts: @CFisch_WMDE & @amir1 - all questions welcome, more infos: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Technical_Advice_IRC_Meeting [15:00:24] Auregann_WMDE: ping? [15:05:44] addshore: is everyone still on holiday? [15:25:25] Not sure :D [15:27:18] which browsers does wikidata want to support? [15:29:08] because it seems that lexeme forms and the constraints thing don't work in IE11 [15:31:06] I’m not sure what Wikidata’s rules are, but MediaWiki in general considers IE11 a Modern browser https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Compatibility#Browser_support_matrix [15:31:31] hm. the forms might have been fixed now [15:35:47] oh, maybe not [15:36:41] anyway in both cases it says "Das Objekt unterstützt die Eigenschaft oder Methode "assign" nicht" [15:38:42] looks like that was added in https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/extensions/WikibaseQualityConstraints/+/460063/17/modules/gadget.js [15:39:46] can you open a Phabricator task? [15:39:56] sure [15:40:21] I’m pretty sure jQuery has a method we could use here instead of Object.assign, should be easy to fix [15:40:37] (says the guy who isn’t working this month, so he won’t be the one who has to write the fix ^^ ) [15:40:50] do you want one ticket about object.assign, or one for the constraints, another for the lexeme forms? [15:40:52] haha [15:41:26] I think two would make more sense [15:41:29] ok [15:54:22] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T206643 and https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T206644 then [16:01:06] thanks! [18:09:29] Would someone be able to help me with some edits I am working on, relating to broadcasting? [18:12:19] I would like to create a relationship between Digital Audio Broadcasting (Q815830) - a technology and WorldDAB (Q2918512) - the organisation that wrote the specification. But I am not sure which property to use. [18:14:33] https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P1462 [18:20:04] Amazing, thanks sjoerddebruin! Sometimes is hard to know what to search for [18:21:13] I mostly look at other items [18:21:15] Found this one at the one about HTML5 [18:22:23] I am also looking for a way of relating the DAB Ensemble (Q5204199) class to DAB (Q815830). 'is part of' doesn't seem quite right. [18:22:49] Hello [18:23:30] * njh waves [20:49:40] What's the recommended way to import properties into a local development instance these days? The wiki talks about an old importProperties.php script but it was removed in https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/plugins/gitiles/mediawiki/extensions/Wikibase/+/97f765ae8 which mentions some special page, I'm not sure which. I just need some basic properties like "subclass of" and "instance of" and would prefer not to add them [20:49:41] manually in Special:NewItem. If they can be proxied from production Wikidata, that would be ideal. [21:10:12] it's quite late in europe where most of the developers are, you might have more luck asking during european daytime or on the mailing list [21:16:39] Thanks nikki . I'll give aude's script a try: https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikidata-tech/2018-August/001308.html.
