[18:41:12] hello [18:41:22] is anyone from wikipedia here? [18:41:44] or, rather, the wikimedia foundation [18:42:41] People in this channel are both. Wikipedians and Wikimedians. [18:43:33] Do you need help/have a request? [18:43:57] I have an idea that has the potential to help change the world for the better, but need help. I'd like to work with the wikimedia foundation for it to be successful. [18:44:39] And that idea is? If you put it forward, I believe an appropriate member of the foundation would answer it. [18:45:19] I was hoping to talk to someone from wikimedia foundation about arranging an appropriate time and venue. It's rather complex. [18:45:43] I would hate for it to be taken the wrong way, and deserves quite a bit of explanation. [18:46:01] What category does it fit in? Community, Fundrasing, Software Development? etc. [18:46:55] It is like the fair-trade concept, except more encompassing. [18:47:21] You know, like fair trade coffee? [18:47:31] So, Would that fall into Community? [18:48:25] I suppose it would fall into community. The support I would need would involve perhaps creating a new branch of the wikimedia foundation [18:49:08] you know like how you have wikipedia, wikisource, etc.. it would be another branch [18:49:22] You mean another Wikimedia project? [18:50:11] yes [18:50:20] it could be that, yes. [18:50:22] http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Proposals_for_new_projects [18:50:38] thanks very much [18:50:43] That would be the place. Your welcome. [18:51:47] Again, thanks [20:12:00] I am not sure if my proposal was recieved. Is there a way to see whther or not it was posted? [20:15:26] What is the title of your proposals xeno_, Ill check. [20:18:35] wikirate [20:19:21] http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikirate [20:20:41] excellent, thanks [20:21:48] if you read it, and think about it, please sign [20:22:16] Ill get arounf to it later. [20:22:52] okay [20:22:53] :)
