[17:02:02] Welcome! [17:02:54] If you have questions for the team please let us know. [17:04:49] Hi Alex [17:07:32] An intro from us - the readers web team has been working on bring some more functionality for existing contributions - mainly displaying pages that are currently hidden on mobile and providing some fixes to these pages so they are usable on all platforms. We are planning to make these changes in the minerva skin. Contributors will be able to opt-in to the enhanced experience. A bit more detail about the project can [17:07:32] be found here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Reading/Web/Advanced_mobile_contributions [17:07:32] We’d like to see how you all feel about these changes. Would this be useful to you on a daily basis? Also, we’d like to brainstorm on focus areas (which special pages to begin with, how to optimize navigation, etc). First, we’re wondering if you have any questions for us about the project. [17:13:19] Does anyone reading this edit on mobile? If yes, can you tell us a bit about what parts you find challenging? If you do not edit, why not? [17:17:21] I thought this essay by User:Cullen328 on English Wikipedia regarding smartphone editing was interesting. I wonder if there are other examples from non-english communities. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Cullen328/Smartphone_editing [17:28:37] That's a really interesting essay. I like how the author created his own workflows despite the current constraints. I'm looking forward to seeing what editors will do once there are fewer constraints in general [18:00:07] If anyone reading along has thoughts on this - leave us a message on the project talk page: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Talk:Reading/Web/Advanced_mobile_contributions - we'd really love to hear some feedback [18:00:35] #endmeeting [18:01:05] Meeting ended Mon Jun 25 18:00:35 2018 UTC.
