Yes basically the main use cases are scripts/libraries/etc.. that atm are using one IP/port (analytics-store.eqiad.wmnet:3306) and that will have to be ported to use more than one IP:port combination. The srv records will avoid to replicate code in various places to figure out what port is needed basically
