[15:00:34] I just installed Scribunto on Not Wikilambda and wrote a module+template similar to Wikidata’s {{Q}}; you can see it in action on the https://notwikilambda.toolforge.org/wiki/Main_Page#Selected_notable_ZObjects (which could also use some more entries) [15:03:40] and I’m definitely feeling the pain of being on a new wiki and having none of the usual infrastructure available (e.g. {{documentation}}) 😬 (i.e. the thing that @amire80 wants to solve with global templates 🙏) [15:37:43] Yep. That's exactly why I say that building Wikifunctions is not, by itself, a solution to the problem of local-only templates and modules. It's great that Wikifunctions will be global from the start, and that it will be possible to reimplement templates there, but that whole reimplementation thing won't happen in a day. We already have a lot of current infrastructure written in wikitext and Lua, and it makes more sense to me [16:43:48] (apparently I never actually signed my support for that proposal? done now ^^) [17:04:11] Thank you!
