[08:08:23] I have a heading ==== A ==== up to Z on the site [08:08:49] over 25 of those on https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Project:Sandbox&action=submit [08:09:13] noto sure what "from memory" mean. Maybe it means that this sandbox doesn't have a memory [09:08:59] Sandbox has __NOTOC__ for some reason [09:09:58] https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:P858snake/Sandbox2 [09:10:06] onla: ^ [16:17:44] Hello sir, sorry, I want to ask about xtools. It can be implemented in outside wikimedia foundation project? [17:06:45] Murbaut: Hi. No sirs here. :) Not sure anyone has tried. Which problem would you like to solve? [17:13:38] Ok sorry sir, andre I trying to make a installation with mediawiki source and also xtools it for education purpose, It's possible to implemented and integrated? [17:16:54] (Again: I am no sir and we have no sirs in here :) [17:17:07] That's still rather vague [17:46:21] The code is at https://github.com/x-tools/xtools [17:48:01] It's probably poorly documented what it depends on, as it is labelled as being for Wikimedia wikis [17:48:16] It wouldn't surprise me if they were open to PR to make it useable more widely (configurable etc) [18:00:23] Good evening so we got createwiki working and it doesn't apply the table-generated.sql files wat do we need to do to fix this [18:03:52] Cocopuff2018: Please always provide sufficient context, clear and full steps to reproduce something somehow without any paraphrasing, and what does happen after which exact commands without any paraphrasing. Thanks. [18:04:14] Murbaut, While older versions of xtools were designed to be portable to any MediaWiki environment, basically no one did it and it required maintaining a bunch of extra code. It's now unsupported, but might work. Version 3.12.0 is when support was dropped, so an older version might work better. [18:07:09] andre: createwiki doesn't work with update.php for the record [18:07:21] There's a catch-22 in the setup [18:09:19] when creating a wiki the database is empty, and you're not sure how to fix it [18:10:06] I'm not sure how to fix it [18:12:43] I know how to fix it [18:13:21] You're DM'ing me though for support, I charge £215/hr if you want me to help you privately. Keep in here please. [18:14:10] andre: okay 😅 sorry [18:17:53] Reedy: that's right, I suppose, it's not well documented, so we confused to use it for running the tools. [18:18:47] How do I fix it @RhinosF1 [18:19:34] AntiComposite: tks [18:28:23] RhinosF1 if you can provide what I need to do to fix it that's all I need [18:29:22] Cocopuff2018: manually run the sql file with sql.php or direct mysql-client and insert the first wiki into cw_wikis [18:33:12] Thanks [19:42:59] How do I fix createwiki without running SQL.php @RhinosF1 [19:43:38] Cocopuff2018: direct use of MySQL's client [19:50:49] how do I fix it so that if I create a new wiki it will work, I don’t get how sql would do it @RhinosF1 [19:52:03] First wiki has to be done manually [19:52:17] Ok first one is already manually done [19:52:41] What we do now [19:54:12] @RhinosF1: [19:54:53] Work it out [19:55:07] Createwiki requires technical skill [19:55:22] CIR? [19:55:36] What do we need to do to get the wiki to work when we create them manually [19:55:48] Via Createwiki [21:53:41] https://www.irccloud.com/pastebin/YwIleRK0/ [21:53:50] how do I fix this error [21:57:14] Cocopuff2018, what have you tried? [21:57:39] making a wiki set [23:47:04] Trying to upgrade mediawiki from 1.41.1 -> 1.42.3. Files were put in place by gentoo webapp-config install.
