[13:23:58] Hi! [13:23:59] I am new to Wikidata and have some hesitation regarding a "problem" with the Empire of Corpses book (Q17211892) and film (Q28081730) on Wikidata . I am not sure it's worth opening a new section in the project chat just for that , so I wanted to ask here first. [13:23:59] Essentially, the Fr, Jp, Ko, and Zh Wikipedia pages, which discuss the unfinished book and its film adaptation, are linked to the Empire of Corpses book Wikidata ; while the En, Ar, Arz , Id, It, and Rupages, which primarily focus on the film, are linked to the Empire of Corpses film Wikidata . [13:24:00] The topic is not substantial enough to create two separate Wikipedia pages for the unfinished book and its film adaptation, and the Wikipedia pages are for now disconnected (except for French, for which I have created a one-way redirection en->fr ). [13:24:00] What can I do to solve this? On similar Wikidata entries , like Delicious in Dungeon (Q20016948) or Murder at Mt. Fuji (Q898794), all Wikipedia links are on the book/manga Wikidata elements. Should I move the Wikipedia links to the book's Wikidata entry ? [13:24:01] Thanks , [13:24:01] Igriffin [15:53:59] Is this a bug in wikidatas ontology? Q1048835 (political territorial entity) is subclass of Q56061 (administrative territorial entity) is subclass of Q16562419 (political entity) is subclass of Q3455524 (administrative region) is subclass of Q1048835 [15:54:17] I assumed subclasses wouldn't have cycles [16:00:14] "A cycle is created if class A has a subclass B and B is a superclass of A. " https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_Ontology/Classes#Subsumption_Cycles [16:01:21] Seems to be legal, but I don't understand how it's possible within an ontology for a class to have a cycle without meaning the same thing, as they inherit all properties from one-another [16:14:08] ah I see it's documented as an issue actually https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_Ontology/Problems/3rd-order_subclass_of_self
