[08:19:36] Would anyone be widely opposed to installing https://github.com/johanhaleby/kubetail on the deployment servers. It allows us to tail logs from multicontainer pods without having to type `kubectl logs -c `. It's also much simpler than stern, and already available as a debian package [08:20:23] s/on the deployment servers./on the deployment servers?/ [08:37:17] given kubetail is packaged in Debian, is quite small and has no dependencies +1 for me [08:45:34] brouberol: there is a longstanding action item for tobias who wanted to create a task and do some small comparison of tools but I think he never actually came around on doing it :/ - so yeah, go ahead! [09:08:12] alright, I'll create a ticket for archiving sake, and will get on it [09:12:46] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T418450 [09:13:47] brouberol: sweet. put me up for reviews [09:21:40] {{done}} and ready for review at https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/operations/puppet/+/1244582 [09:22:42] brouberol: +1, thanks! [09:23:56] pleasure [10:27:50] could you please also add some example(s) to https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Kubernetes/Administration#Managing_pods,_jobs_and_cronjobs ? [10:47:07] as FYI the /v2/restricted prefix in the Docker Registry is now served by apus/s3 [10:47:12] fingers crossed [15:42:55] woohoo!
