[16:12:10] I have been thinking about the i18n of programming language-"internal" stuff like Exceptions. I'd rather not mirror the Python exception hierarchy inside of the executor code, but I'd be interested in hearing the use case for it. I think handling this at the level of labelization could help; it still wouldn't let us easily internationalize error messages (since many of the messages contain runtime-generated dynamic [16:12:10] content), but we could try, e.g., propagating the name of the exception class back to MW and have labels for the exception class names. Would something like that help? [16:14:08] I think yes. [16:14:49] Translatewiki has already been used for translating Mediawiki system messages. [16:15:15] It will absolutely be interesting. [16:21:16] Interesting! I didn't know that MW system messages were being translated that way. I'll see what the current understanding of this is on the team :) [17:28:28] https://chr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:All_system_messages is a link to learn more about this. [17:57:34] That's a somewhat unusual link :) (re @Csisc1994: https://chr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:All_system_messages is a link to learn more about this.) [17:58:17] A static wiki page from 2004 on the Cherokee Wikipedia is not the best place for it.
