[15:24:17] for the record, I did a short lightning talk about Wikifunctions at the Wikiconvention francophone in Québec yesterday [15:25:53] it was quite succesfull, the attendees pointed that translation is still too partial (and sometimes even wrong) and would need a better system to find objects to translate [15:26:28] translation in French? of functions or the software? [15:26:37] some non-coder where really interrested in composition (but a bit disapointed that it's not magically easy :/ ) [15:26:50] of functions (and tests/implementations) (re @Sannita: translation in French? of functions or the software?) [15:27:24] that was to be expected unfortunately, we need more eyes [15:27:36] there was some laughter to see this error: https://www.wikifunctions.org/w/index.php?title=Z10897&diff=135006&oldid=92850 (re @Sannita: translation in French? of functions or the software?) [15:27:50] but a good occasion to edit to correct it :D [15:28:00] exactly (re @Sannita: that was to be expected unfortunately, we need more eyes) [15:28:13] hopefully some french speakers will join soon [15:28:28] lol (re @Nicolas: there was some laughter to see this error: https://www.wikifunctions.org/w/index.php?title=Z10897&diff=135006&oldid=92850) [15:28:44] I don't speak French that well, but I laughed nonetheless [16:17:41] Hello, old and new friends! Where could I read more about the backend rewrite that the most recent status update introduces? I found https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T376668, is there more detail anywhere? [17:42:40] (I don't know, but I'm happy to see you around.) [19:08:28] Forwarded from lucaswerkmeister: at the Wikimedia NL mini hackathon (https://nl.wikimedia.org/wiki/Mini_Hackathon_November_2024), I improved the user interface of the Wikifunctions integration in Wikidata Lexeme Forms (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Wikidata_Lexeme_Forms#Wikifunctions_support) a bit – it now tells you when it’s running (so you can [19:08:29] see when it’s done [19:08:29] ), and you can also enable it in the tool’s settings (https://lexeme-forms.toolforge.org/settings/) instead of having to create an obscure user JS page like before :)
