[00:54:18] There is no 'autoreviewer' permission [00:54:30] Krenair: see the page for $wgRestrictionLevels [00:54:32] There is an 'autoreviewer' group [00:54:54] http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:$wgRestrictionLevels [00:55:07] see the $wgGroupPermissions mention there [00:55:12] Krenair, doesn't that exists on ptwiki? I have a problem with my installation; it runs really slow on my server and my win7 testmachine (~2-2.5s per page load), while on a much older and slower WinXP machine it works good at ~0.1-~0.2s pageloads. The installations are identical, except IP changed in the appropriate config files [11:49:20] (i'm currently setting it up on another WinXP machine and then going to test it on another Win7 machine to see if it's something to do with the OS. The Server runs some form of Windows Server) [11:54:23] JimmieB: you might have better luck in #windows or #windowsserver or something like that [11:54:29] or maybe #iis? [11:55:19] Was just wondering if mediawiki had some known problems with win7/winserver, but i assume it atleast on server would work better than on an old winxp machine [11:55:34] ah [11:56:03] have you checked that it's specifically mw that's slow? [11:56:37] have you checked the error logs? Though there is also the possibility that your two machines are configured differently. e.g.: One of them has an opt code and storage cache and the other one doesn't. [12:11:07] dantman, i copy+pasted the entire installation (xampp) folder and just changed the httpd.conf and localsettings.php to the new ip. works fine on 2/2 winxp machines, works crap on win7/winserver2k8 [12:11:31] 03(FIXED) UploadWizard: Copy information to files below does not copy language - 10https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/40108 (10Derk-Jan Hartman) [12:12:35] and the winxp machines are old crappy ones. we had a older version of mediawiki (like 1.13 or something) before which worked fine on the server, but 1.19 is slow. [13:03:40] No... that kind of thing is always handled by the low level parts of the system [13:04:23] MW isn't anywhere close to where the issue is [13:04:45] Not MW, not even PHP is related to this. [20:00:38] You can make CSS less difficult? [20:00:54] * marktraceur never realized [20:01:14] Ulfr: With what do you need help? [20:01:38] * MatmaRex slaps marktraceur around a bit with a large trout [20:01:39] CSS is fun [20:01:49] Well, CSS is pretty easy, but Vector appears to be disregarding Common.css and I *really* don't want to have to log into the server to kick vector in the head [20:02:01] (well, except for the specificity rules, but let's just forget about that for a minute) [20:02:10] Ulfr: slap couple !importants there [20:02:15] a couple* [20:02:24] it probably has to do with specificity. :D [20:02:27] MatmaRex: Huh? [20:02:39] http://www.vanseodesign.com/css/css-specificity-inheritance-cascaade/ [20:02:44] do you mean the *brilliant* idea of prefixing #IDentified elements with also tag names? [20:02:53] My existing CSS applies to internal and interwiki links but not to the sidebar or external [20:02:58] which is why I'm scratching my head [20:03:33] 03(mod) Use clearer wording in log summaries - 10https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/40266 +comment (10Ryan Kaldari) [20:03:36] Vulpix: You give HTML coders too much credit....ID conflicts happen way too often :P [20:03:39] i mean the brilliant idea of rules preference being decided not just by "latest-win", but also by some arbitrary rules no one remmebers or cares about [20:03:51] latest-wins* [20:04:22] Ulfr: if you know a little CSS already, read the article I linked. if no, link us the wiki you're having trobules with :) [20:04:58] MatmaRex: That may be tricky. I'm not sure I can. Can I retrieve anything from the server? [20:05:26] uh, i dont understand? [20:05:28] (sorry, afk) [20:05:41] MatmaRex: It's a secured wiki on a closed server, there's sensitive information :( [20:06:29] MatmaRex: I'm very familiar with CSS, and I've copypasta'd the CSS rules from the mediawiki wiki [20:07:02] Ulfr: Can you reproduce the bug on a public wiki? [20:07:37] marktraceur: One moment. [20:08:54] marktraceur: I've started the clone, but it takes about a half hour to get up and running >< [20:09:53] * Ulfr wishes he never told his boss that you could change how a wiki looks [20:09:59] Firefox + WebDeveloperToolbar is your friend [20:10:44] Vulpix: I've been puttering with the dev toolbar for the last hour, but the abstraction between load.php and the result muddles things [20:11:04] *flips table* and now all of the styles stopped working. I changed one value in Vector.css and the whole thing broke. [20:11:41] Use the Firefox inspector to see what CSS rules are being applied to any particular element [20:13:09] Here's my Common.css, I'll do that right now Vulpix [20:13:11] http://pastebin.com/ggivBvhh [20:13:51] Ulfr: you are using ?debug=true ? this makes MW debuggable [20:14:02] div#content a.external is the rule being applied [20:14:14] MatmaRex: God no, it's in production. [20:14:33] you're using ".content a.external.text" [20:14:38] i mean, as in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page?debug=true [20:14:48] try using the exact same selector [20:15:06] this just disables CSS and JS crunching [20:16:22] Vulpix: I did, it didn't work unless something is getting cached [20:16:28] MatmaRex: Same thing I see as before [20:16:56] 03(mod) Use clearer wording in log summaries, especially for deletion tags - 10https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/40266 summary (10Ryan Kaldari) [20:17:49] New patchset: Hashar; "(bug 40306) convert tr align=X to CSS text-align: X;" [mediawiki/core] (master) - https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/24076 [20:18:13] 03(mod) Align HTML4 -> HTML5 transform broken on tablerows. - 10https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/40306 +comment (10Antoine "hashar" Musso) [20:18:20] if everything fails, use !important...
