[00:09:09] 03(mod) Write a logo checker - 10https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/27034 +comment (10Tomasz W. Kozlowski) [00:12:53] hi, i'm running the update.php script on my wiki, and had a few errors/warnings [00:13:02] for 1.21rc5 [00:13:15] Selecting next 10000 rows... processing...PHP Notice: Undefined variable: row in /home/mediawiki/public_html/w/maintenance/updateCollation.php on line 192 [00:13:36] Notices can be ignored unless the script doesn't work [00:13:52] Warnings and errors merit attention though [00:14:05] looks like it skipped that step [00:14:17] 0 done. [00:14:17] 0 rows processed [00:14:26] nah, I doubt collation would need updating [00:14:30] does your wiki work? [00:14:33] yea [00:14:39] so the other problem i had was with extension DPL [00:14:50] that was an error, i had to disable that extension, do the update, then re-enable it [00:14:56] Query: SELECT page_id,page_len,page_is_redirect,page_latest,page_content_model FROM `stratw_page` WHERE page_namespace = '10' AND page_title = 'Extension_DPL' LIMIT 1 [00:14:57] * Jasper_Deng will warn in advance that DPL forum is not a well-maintained extension [00:15:04] not the forum [00:15:17] the regular DPL (third party) [00:16:12] i disabled it, updated, reenabled, and it worked fine [00:16:26] * Jasper_Deng isn't familiar with that extension.... probably not a well-written update specification [00:16:32] http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:DynamicPageList_%28third-party%29 [00:16:51] * Jasper_Deng sees that page [00:16:59] I'd have to review that code but I currently have to do other things [00:17:08] i'll put a message on the talk page, looks like the author is somewhat active [00:17:27] Prodi: afaik its not that well maintaned, Do you use anything that the DPL WMF doesn't provide? [00:17:35] ^^ [00:17:38] I was about to ask that [00:18:48] heh, not sure [00:18:52] we've been using this for a looong time [00:20:10] is there a clean migration path? [00:21:42] not that I know of [00:22:32] afaik it uses the same tags, so just replace the extension [00:22:36] But you will need to check [00:24:03] 03(mod) Configure $wgBabelCategoryNames for ca.wiktionary - 10https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/47287 +comment (10gerritadmin) [00:24:06] 03(mod) wmgBabelCategoryNames setting for Ukrainian Wikinews - 10https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/46489 +comment (10gerritadmin) [00:24:08] 03(mod) Categorize {{#babel}} on udm.wikipedia - 10https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/47749 +comment (10gerritadmin) [00:24:44] 03(mod) Categorize {{#babel}} on udm.wikipedia - 10https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/47749 -shellpolicy +patch-in-gerrit +shell (10Tomasz W. I recently split my mediawiki install and mail server from one to two different servers. Until then, emails from media wiki worked just fine. I've tried configuring the $wgSMTP as per the docs, but it's still not working. [17:35:11] I don't see errors in the MW apache logs when I edit an article nor do I see a login attempt on the mail server itself. So it seems like MW is not even trying to send the email. [17:35:31] I tested the email account itself, and it sends and receives fine. [17:35:53] I also made sure the 'pear install MAIL Net_SMTP' ran successfully, which it did. [17:36:30] I did update MW to v. 1.20.1 when I split the servers, so perhaps something broke there? I had been using 1.18.?, iirc. I was trying to get 'error_reporting( -1 );' and 'ini_set( 'display_errors', 1 );' working, but it wasn't doing anything.
