[00:53:38] it was a cache issue [00:53:40] the code was fine [00:53:43] even inside the wrapping [04:19:14] Betacommand: still around? [04:20:28] Betacommand: well, poke me if you still need help with your script. [10:17:59] Hi everyone. I've created 5 testpages, all belonging to one category [[Kategorie:TestKategorie]]. The page of the category is available, but the alphabetical sorted list with links to the individual pages isn't there. What could be the reason for this? Configuration? [10:39:05] no one here with an answer for my problem? [13:09:44] Rai__: did you add any pages to your new categories? [15:46:46] cls [15:47:26] is it possible to disable categories for a namespace? [16:56:47] Betacommand: i don't think so, no [17:22:19] "QUESTO È SOLO UN SEGNAPOSTO. NON DOVRESTI MAI VEDERE QUESTA STRINGA." [17:22:22] Lovely [17:24:30] ? [17:59:48] Hi. I'm getting an issue on our wiki when trying to upload certain audio files. Using the upload form I get an "Files of the MIME type "application/x-php" are not allowed to be uploaded" error when attempting to upload some wav files. I'm remuxed the files in case they were broken in some way but I'm still recieving the error. Any ideas? [18:20:51] Moussekateer: on what wiki? they were just talking of https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73274 in another channel [18:23:45] Nemo_bis: On our team fortress wiki. Thanks for the link but I'm not sure if it's related to our issue [18:28:11] cscott, around? Can you say what the main reasons were for changing the PDF creation software? Still getting quite a few questions why the software had to be changed given the previous version apparently worked fine (at least customers say so, I've never really used it). [18:28:26] hahaha [18:28:45] the previous version ran on a completely undocumented server in the tampa colo facility. the tampa colo facility was shut down. [18:29:07] It wasn't well maintained. And running on generally very old software [18:29:29] and it didn't actually "work fine" -- it just had *different* bugs than the current software ;) [18:29:50] in particular, non-latin alphabet support was terrible. but table support was better. [18:29:55] it worked fine for a very specific set of cases ;) [18:30:19] it was also using an unmaintained non-wmf parser, so it broke for different wikitext inputs. [18:30:39] the current software uses the new Parsoid hotness, and so in general parser fidelity is much better. [18:31:03] but the short answer really is -- the old machine went away, and no one stepped up to try to maintain/recreate the old software. [18:32:05] if they like it so much, they are welcome to try to resurrect the old service, it was all open source. [18:33:19] I doubt this is a feature used by particularly tech-savvy users. [18:33:27] (i probably shouldn't say that, because people misinterpret that -- most people don't really know what "maintain a service" actually means in practice.) [18:34:22] Ok, well. Thanks. [18:35:33] yeah, the short answer is just that we couldn't "leave it running" because the facility it was in went away. so continuing the status quo wasn't an option. [20:41:44] is there a way to make mediawiki output a
