[03:35:54] Hiii [03:38:21] Www [04:33:31] How come a section title is only occasionally included in my searches? (Running CirrusSearch if that makes a difference) https://wiki.bn-mc.net/ I tested with 'mundane' and 'potions', all results should include a section title logicall but only one of them does out of the 3 that those two keywords return [05:55:41] Hi [05:55:50] Someone can help me? [05:56:08] Hi, How do I remove the default usergroups set by mediawiki? Like bureaucrat and Autoconfirmed. [05:57:24] You should goto localsetting.php [05:58:16] And set permissions to false (but danger) [05:59:12] I did, followed the manual and unset everything. Then I get a permission error on the userrights page. I'm also the administrator here. [06:02:35] your wiki is public or private? [06:03:33] public [06:04:03] I followed this example - https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:User_rights#Removing_predefined_groups [06:05:08] Unset all six variable, but still bureaucrat group was present and when I tried to access the userright page, I got a permission error. [06:06:12] can I see your wiki? [06:07:28] You should put this in the localsetting.php [06:08:31] $wgGroupPermissions['bureaucrat']['ninja-powers']; [06:08:37] false [06:08:38] o [06:08:42] not it [06:10:18] Should I put it in localsettings? [06:10:29] $wgGroupPermissions['bureaucrat']['userright'] = false; and etc [06:11:14] maybe very much. [06:11:18] But wouldn't that remove the right? I'm trying to remove the entire group. IF that is the case, I should add it along with the unset rules right? [06:12:13] yes [06:12:56] can I see your wiki? [06:18:28] hi [06:18:34] Developer [06:19:39] How to connect wiki from db1 to db2 with different script locate? [07:34:21] Hi All. I'm trying to insert an external image in a box (through a template) but it must have predefined height and width settings. I'm currently not sure if $wgAllowImageTag is enabled (I guess not) [07:36:22] [07:36:44] This just prints the external image (in its bigger original size) with the img tags and attributes before and after it [07:38:09] Does anyone have an idea? [08:10:30] Hi Wimpie_. [08:11:22] Sounds like you have https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:$wgAllowExternalImages enabled instead. [08:11:29] Hi [08:11:37] Yeah I guess I should have that enabled [08:11:45] I'm poking the admin, who will, hopefully, do it later today [08:11:52] I don't have access to the live environment of the wiki [08:12:05] I have a question, though, on this point [08:12:28] will it work using external values? Because the URL link is variable [08:12:49] [08:22:15] * Wimpie_ pokes Yvette [10:01:21] "You must confirm your email address before creating OAuth applications" "Your email address was confirmed on 25 September 2011" [11:09:21] Frakir: Do you have a question? [14:36:37] how can I find thr name of a painer which corresponds to a signature of a pint that I have? [14:38:03] Guest16322: I dont understand your question mind explaining [14:39:33] I presume it was painter and print [14:39:39] I have an old painting and cannot reconice the name of the painter because the signature is not very clear [14:40:34] Guest16322: this is the wrong channel [14:41:17] pls advise me which is the correct chanel [14:41:20] Guest16322: http://enwp.org/WP:REFDESK should help [14:42:06] thank you [14:42:23] no problem [17:15:00] Could someone de-archive extensions/EmailDiff or tell me how to request that action? [17:15:57] !e EmailDiff [17:15:57] https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:EmailDiff [17:24:15] G_SabinoMullane: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Gerrit/New_repositories I guess [17:28:17] Vulpix: Thanks, I'll post something there [17:47:23] Hey, I've run into some problems installing vagrant. When I do 'vagrant halt' it always needs to force shutdown, giving me message 'Guest communication could not be established!', graceful shutdown is not done. When I do 'vagrant up' I get repeating messages "Warning: Remote connection disconnect. Retrying...". Those appear for minutes though I'm able to 'vagrant ssh' into the vm just a few seconds after running 'vagrant up' ... [18:03:26] Okay [18:03:41] Please can someone explain why the logic in some templates is wrong? [18:03:48] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Ady100 [18:04:00] gets called by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:PD-Canada [18:04:14] which gets called from https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Nlc014672-v6.jpg&action=edit [18:04:29] Except adding the ady= param DOESN't work as intended [18:04:53] because it's seemingly being ignored by the lower level templates despite it being passed EXPLICITLY down the chain [18:04:56] Suggestions? [18:05:59] Anyone in? [18:06:45] ShakespeareFan00: I don't see this template being called from Template:PD-Canada [18:06:59] No-one here responded so I reverted [18:07:29] The old revision that was attempting to pass the param is here - https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:PD-Canada&oldid=767233390 [18:07:37] I can't see an obvious mistake [18:08:35] Well somethings wrong because using Special:ExpandTemplates with {{ady100|ady1800}} didn't produce the right result [18:11:55] The logic in the Ady100 seems to be doing the REVERSE of what https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Extension:ParserFunctions#.23ifexpr CLAIMS [18:12:47] I.E It's displaying the clause for what should happen if the condition is FALSE when it's TRUE [18:12:52] Or my logc is flawed [18:13:26] {{#ifexpr:{{#expr: looks a bit weird, one of the #expr seems to be redundant [18:14:27] Can you fix it up? [18:14:46] I'm really tired of the parser being PEDANTIC about the ordering of things [18:15:17] Parser functions need to be more like conventional programing [18:17:19] Seems to be working at the moment [18:19:38] Olay it's still NOT working [18:20:00] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Nlc014672-v6.jpg Should not be showing the Do not move to Commons [18:20:09] Somwhere the ady paramter is NOT being passed on properly [18:21:38] why should it not be showing it? [18:21:47] what's the logic you want to apply? [18:22:26] Vulpix: The EXact line in ADy 100 is trying to do if Author died less than 100 years ago, Don't move [18:22:32] Otherwise flag for commons [18:22:36] {{{ady|0}}}+101 < {{CURRENTYEAR}}, if ady = 1800 then, 1800+101 = 1901, and 1901 < 2017, which is true, then the template is displayed [18:22:52] My logic is flawed [18:23:13] What should that line read as ? [18:23:28] * ShakespeareFan00 goes bright red [18:23:33] change > to < ? [18:23:40] Always the simple things [18:23:47] err, the other way round [18:24:41] Cna you just fix the template so it works as intended? [18:25:01] Basicly if the ady is less than 100 years ago , It should say Do not move to Commons [18:25:19] which is the Logic I THOUGHT I had implemented [18:25:23] please change it yourself, I'm currently not logged in [18:25:44] Okay I give up [18:26:00] I''ll revert all changes made as no-one seems to care (sigh() [23:58:25] Is there any abstraction for building a character class for a LIKE statement?
