[02:47:39] Ok... sooooo.. i solved the mystery with the wiki not working...... and it was apperntly a firewall issue and somehow my firewall stop something from working... trying to find out the issue right now [11:10:43] hi [11:11:08] how can i put a recent changes box for a specific page and related subpages ? [11:14:08] what is a "recent changes box"? [11:14:41] like Special:Recent_Changes, but for only specific pages [11:16:18] i notice that this feature seems broken here: https://openwetware.org/wiki/User:Etienne_Robillard/Notebook/chim_trills_notebook [11:19:19] this was working before openwetware upgraded to 1.29.1 [12:10:31] ok can i define a page as a category and/or namespace ? [12:16:01] a category is a category. a page is a page. a page can be in a category. [12:16:21] thx, i just noticed the [[Category:Foo]] tag [12:17:06] how can i make a listing of all pages belonging to a category ? [14:21:29] I can't find the visualeditor IRC channel on the page and me and it are in a fight right now. Someone mind telling me what the channel is? [14:21:39] #mediawiki-visualeditor [14:22:28] Thank you! [14:35:29] Heh. https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Mere_troll_nothing_to_see_here [14:35:38] Edits not so bad actually. [14:37:53] (Related to https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T177496 ?) [16:18:39] OK, I tried asking in VE chat and I've updated every single extension I have installed on my wiki and VE is still not playing ball on 1.29.1. It will open a dialogue box for inserting a hyperlink, but it will not do so for any other menu item. I get an API return but nothing else happens. I did have to update Cite to even load the VE interface. Is there something else I might be missing? [16:18:56] It's kinda tricky to google this sort of bug, especially when there's no relevant logged info [16:35:36] Ulfr: ensure that you're using the right version of VE [16:35:52] you should use the 1.29 version of VE, not the latest master [16:35:57] I just downgraded from branch 1_29 to 1_28 [16:36:15] and it started working again, but this version apparently will poof people's references [16:37:33] check for js errors in the browser console? [16:42:26] Skizzerz: Yas. They were all lies. But I've got someone in VE so I'm all set. TY! [17:56:36] hi everyone ! [17:56:53] can anyone tell me how do I add phpcs (codesniffer) to my extension ? [17:57:04] i see it's a recommended practice but i cant find the way to do it .. [17:59:00] hi Sophivorus [17:59:14] Sophivorus: https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki-tools-codesniffer#how-to-install [17:59:56] legoktm: thx !
