[09:51:10] Does Mediawiki allow for CSS var() currently? [09:51:28] https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Template:Poem-span/styles.css [09:53:25] It's a trival example case, and putting a width inline in a span doesn't save many charcters over a style="--__wgap: " entry instead [11:10:20] Hi! I want to use the translate extension and believe i have everything setup properly, but i seems as if i can't mark pages for translation, so they don't show up in Special:Translate. I'm the admin of the wiki and the only user. I tried to change the jobrunrate to have it done with cron, but it didnt help so i set it back to default. Any ideas? [11:14:03] When i try to mark a page, it goes into a kind of loop where it says that no pages are marked, and shows the list of proposed pages, and i can click on "mark for translation" which brings me to the Unit page where i can see the paragraphs and all that, but when clicking "Mark this version for translation" it just goes back to Special:PageTranslation, showing the same text as before. [11:16:04] It's all freshly installed with the latest versions of MediaWiki and the MLEB. [16:59:29] Hi [16:59:40] Is there a way to mark something as an Annoyance ? [16:59:46] Rather than as a Bug [17:14:31] ShakespeareFan00, just open a task about what you think should be done? [17:14:51] if the justification is 'current situation is annoying' rather than 'current situation is broken', that's ok [17:15:39] I have opened a ticket here: [17:16:11] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T227953 [17:16:40] I suspect this may be a documentation issue as much as a behavioural one [17:30:12] BTW is there someone here that can merge bugs? [17:30:48] https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T163086 and https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T226395 are essentialy duplicates [17:31:30] ShakespeareFan00: anyone can AFAIK, you can try using the "Edit related tasks" link [17:56:38] Vulpix: Thanks [17:57:03] BTW Adding "Annouance" to the task types under experimental trial might be useful [17:57:08] *Annoyance [17:57:37] An 'annoyance' isn't a BUG as such but a usability issue that should be solved longer-term [17:58:10] A BUG is when something broke [17:59:01] An annoyance is when something broke because the user thought it should do one thing, but the strict implementation means you have to do something slightly different [17:59:08] or more complex [19:51:10] Okay [19:51:28] How the ***&^&% do I get Mediawiki to properly handle a row generated from a template? [19:51:28] https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Template:Markup/row [19:51:34] It won't currently [19:51:44] https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Template:Markup [19:52:03] I've spent a Good 4 hours head-scratching on this [19:52:23] because table syntax CANNOT cope with being called in this way [21:16:43] ShakespeareFan00: I would expect that
to break it
