[04:53:19] Hello, I'm using MW 1.34 and I'm trying to enable VisualEditor capability on pages with translations. Right now the only way the editor allows any edits is using Source, but the others using the wiki want a way to use the VE while still preserving translation capability. Any way around this? [04:58:01] Coolguy3289: not really. you should be able to open VE on translateable pages, but the individual translation blocks will not be visually editable. you can see it e.g. on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Navigation?veaction=edit [04:59:17] Right, VE opened, but the entire page is one translation block it seems. And that was what they wanted; To be able to Visually Edit within those translation blocks [05:00:33] If that's the case, is there a fast way to systematically remove all translation blocks from the page sources? [05:01:56] i'm not too familiar with Translate, but i believe you have a way to disable translation of the page somewhere in the interface (if you're a "translation administrator"), which hopefully cleans up the markup? [05:02:13] I'll look around for it [05:03:04] (as for VE support, it wasn't a priority for Wikimedia wikis, and all the non-stantard markup like and would probably be a pain to handle) [05:04:30] Yup, I was able to go into the translation page, and see all pages there to remove from Translation which auto-removed the translation blocks [05:05:03] Thanks for the help, I was told "If it comes down to translation and editing visually, I'll go with visual first" So /shrug xD
