[04:41:31] Meu Meoflix Qbic, não carrega os canais [04:42:13] Aparecem todos, porém não carrega [04:42:57] Alguém sabe o porquê disso? [06:42:45] If a mediawiki site was upgraded, and the database needed schema changes, but the changes were never done, would the site still run? [06:44:27] depends on the schema changes needed [06:44:35] I'm not the one running the site but thumbnails and file uploads stopped working when this site was upgraded to 1.30.0: https://www.wikipunch.com/index.php/Main_Page [06:44:42] it will ill-advised not to do the schema changes [06:45:10] I'm wondering if anyone knows what these are symptoms of [06:46:05] I woudl also recommend rolling back to the backup that was made, then upgrading to the latest stable and supported version and doing the full process [06:47:29] Although for those issues, I would look to see if their thumbnailing is setup properly and can write to the folder it wants to [06:47:50] It's been like this for 2 years :V [06:51:47] The thumbnailing setup in localsettings is probably wrong would be my stab in the dark for the unable to save thumbnail messages [06:51:56] then you would need to deal with "Deprecated: The each() function is deprecated. This message will be suppressed on further calls in /var/www/html/includes/MagicWordArray.php on line 206" [06:52:08] which is displayed at the top of the page [06:54:59] Okay, thanks [07:30:08] I upgraded from 1.31 to 1.35, and now the Main_Page and sidebar are blank when users are not logged in. [07:34:09] Can I roll back to 1.31, after having run update.php against 1.35? [07:37:43] my special:version https://termbin.com/f34o [07:47:13] Zenstecm: did you run the update script via the command line or re-run the web installer? [07:47:30] and can you be more descriptive about the sections than "blank"? [07:47:50] is the wiki somewhere accessible or can you screenshot? [07:51:20] p858snake|L: i ran it the same way against my dev and live wikis, via the command line [07:51:42] p858snake|L: it says "There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, search the related logs, or create this page." [07:51:55] so its like the default page that shows when an article does not exist there [07:52:03] did the command link show any errors? [07:52:08] s/link/line/ [07:52:59] p858snake|L: i don't see any errors, no [07:57:57] the sidebar is also showing the default before logging in or viewing a random page [08:00:10] i also enabled $wgShowDBErrorBacktrace but i don't see it producing any errors on the page [08:00:38] maybe i should run update.php again just for fun? [08:23:07] i ran rebuildall.php and it didn't solve the issue [08:24:21] the VisualEditor extension is also not working. not sure if this is related or not [08:32:45] ran update.php again to no avail [08:41:09] i don't suppose i can roll back? incredible [08:41:31] is it possible to make the web server produce useful log messages? [08:50:59] interestingly... if i click the View source tab on the blank page, it will show me the source of the complete home page. This rings of some kind of cache issue to me but I can't figure it out [09:07:04] ok i fixed it by making an innocuous change to the page. for some reason rebuildFileCache.php didn't work, but this did [09:30:46] remember to backup always [14:58:40] Hi everyone, I was wondering if there's a setting to enable more generic file upload through VisualEditor. I'm able to upload PDFs in there for example, but the behaviour around it is really weird, it thinks it's an image of 0x0px and shows an empty thumbnail box in the preview, when saving it does generate the expected File:link, but it's confusing to the user that that will be the end result. Is there [14:58:46] like an option to make non-image uploads available or is there a feature request I can follow (Google didn't really give me any sensible results, sadly)? [19:02:37] Bert_2: what is the type the server returns [21:44:29] harmaahylje: I'm not sure what you mean by that [21:56:06] in the request. I just don't exactly know what you refer to [22:17:19] harmaahylje: I'm talking about visualeditor [22:18:11] if you press insert menu, there's no option for generic files, images and media comes the closest [22:18:30] but if you select that and then upload a PDF, it's detected as a 0px by 0px image [22:18:47] and shown very weirdly in the preview [22:19:45] I guess that's a bug? [22:20:06] not sure if the bug is that the PDF should not be accepted or that it should not think a PDF is an image [22:20:27] either way, I can't seem to find how I simply add a [[File:some_document.pdf]] with the VisualEditor [22:26:09] Oh I see, I don't know anything about VisualEditor [22:26:35] Maybe the feature is just missing [22:42:46] harmaahylje: it might be, but it's just really unclear right now, which is making it hard for us to advise less technical students to use it
