[00:20:03] tyteen4a03: $wgDisableOutputCompression = true; in LocalSettings.php. [00:20:24] Universal_Omega: that stopped working in 1.35.1 [00:20:34] see https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Topic:Vwp6kb2w63zpuvud&topic_showPostId=vzu5i6tkgkcfdv7m#flow-post-vzu5i6tkgkcfdv7m [00:59:03] Ok sorry. [01:36:32] Hello, I just had something strange happen on a new install. After doing basic configuration, installing a few extensions, and copying over my LocalSettings.php, I now get gibberish on my page. I've disabled all extensions, same. I dropped all the DB tables, and removed LocalSettings, and started over, and same issue. I was running PHP 7.3.26, [01:36:33] but when the issue arose, I tried switching to 8.0.1 [01:36:49] Gibberish can be seen at https://wiki.telmaron.com [01:42:26] Does seem to be limited to Chromium based browsers, but I tried the wgDisableCompression workaround, and that did not make a difference. [02:00:44] I wouldn't suggest running MW on PHP 8. [02:01:07] It also looks fine [02:02:56] I can see what’s broken, but I couldn’t even begin to guess at a cause. the response has "Content-Encoding: identity, gzip”, and identity shouldn’t be there (right at the top of https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2616#page-24, ‘identity’ can go in a request but not a response) [02:07:11] the nonsense that’s showing up in chrome is the right content, gzip’d - that’s the only reason I can see for it not understanding that it’s gzip'd [02:54:49] I switched to PHP FPM from FastCGI and it's working now [13:28:09] Destron23: same problem here, https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Topic:Vwp6kb2w63zpuvud&topic_showPostId=vzu5i6tkgkcfdv7m#flow-post-vzu5i6tkgkcfdv7m https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Topic:Vwp6kb2w63zpuvud&topic_showPostId=vzu5i6tkgkcfdv7m#flow-post-vzu5i6tkgkcfdv7m [13:28:35] Does anyone know how to generate botpasswords via the cli on a remote MW instance (direct DB access is available)? [21:09:09] Hi guys, is there an extension like https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:RatePage but only with one star? You like the page 'highlighted star' and 'not highlighted star' ... nothing then. [21:09:55] so like and dislike? [21:10:46] yes, but I wouldn't say dislike more like 'not a like':D [21:27:08] Is there something like favourite? [21:27:37] watchlist something
