[09:03:27] It has been a few months since I last used mydumper, but I am a bit confused with how the -t (threads) works [09:03:45] I was testing the time to dump some tables on the labs hosts, as I need to reimport one on labsdb1010 [09:04:25] ANd I was using: mydumper -v 10 -c -t 4 -u root -B wikidatawiki -T pagelinks [09:04:38] And I would expect to see 4 threads on the show processlist on that host, but I only see one [09:04:51] Is -t related to the size of the table or the chunks? [09:05:03] and it decides to ignore it if the table is small enough? [09:05:29] mydumper 0.9.1, built against MySQL 10.1.20-MariaDB [09:05:48] I can see the threads starting and then shutting down imediately [09:08:18] if you export only one table, and it is not chunked, it cannot use several threads [09:08:34] mysqldump also may be faster for one table, if it is small [09:08:41] I have tried to -r as well [09:08:43] for the chunks [09:09:02] I am not sure it parallelizes the chunks [09:09:24] Yeah, I am not sure either I thought I would have seen multiple threads for a single table [09:09:30] But it's been a few months since I used it last time [09:09:42] So I am probably mistaken [09:09:49] maybe, but I am not sure how it does the cuts [09:09:59] specially with only 1 table [09:10:13] yeah, if I try two tables I do see two threads (one per table) [09:10:46] Which is expected, but I was thinking (again, I might be mistaken) that I have seen it doing several threads for the same table (with chunks) [16:35:58] 10Blocked-on-schema-change, 10DBA, 10CPT Initiatives (OAuth 2.0): Apply schema changes for OAuth 2.0 - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T238370 (10Anomie) [16:36:43] 10Blocked-on-schema-change, 10DBA, 10CPT Initiatives (OAuth 2.0): Apply schema changes for OAuth 2.0 - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T238370 (10Anomie) I added https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/extensions/OAuth/+/551839/7/schema/mysql/index_on_oaat_acceptance_id.sql to this task, and applied it...
