[00:58:23] What are the chances of getting the bot/tool that does the reports on en:w:wp:database_reports moved to labs and run? [15:57:25] T13|needsCoffee, ^ [15:58:06] I'm looking at the history of your talk page, and the talk pages of some of the other tool programmers that had completely stable copies of their tools migrated from toolserver to labs, and are now constantly having issues. [15:59:30] It appears to me, that a good portion of the community is nearing a boiling point about the lack of support to keep these tools running on labs, and the fact that there are a lot of ones that are important and still haven't gotten moved. [15:59:48] Do you think that a new discussion should be had on WP:VPT to see if there can be any consensus or ideas via brainstorming to fix some of these issues? [16:01:01] Or should it just be let go until the community blows up and adds stuff to the site common.xs to block a bunch of foundation stuff they don't want in a futile attemp to get the foundation to `fix their stuff`? [16:01:16] Like what happened last time... [16:01:51] Technical_13, I feel like a way to fix these issues, is move these unstable tools to a unique instance on labs. At least with instances, we can control our resources. [16:03:42] I personally know little about such things at the moment I'm afraid. I'm taking classes to learn things like Java, C++, and VisualBasic, but they were only introductory courses... [16:04:03] So, I don't have anything to put on labs, and haven't learned about those processes yet either. [16:04:16] Neither have I. [16:05:26] Have you gotten in touch with Coren to add you as a maintaner to that other tool yet? [16:07:51] No. I think he's ignoring. At least I'm getting that feeling. I've poked, pinged, and emailed him multiple times, and no response.
