[07:18:36] morning [08:02:34] sup [08:02:49] o/ joakino [12:06:44] hey! jdlrobson & me been talking to people at Opera about the possible increase in weight since we released lazy loading of images. they say that in extreme mode before the release you needed to tap to open up sections of the page. do anyone remember if thats right? I've been checking my screencasts I did before but I didn't have any where I scroll an [12:06:44] article. [15:22:27] joakino, phuedx: could you weigh in on https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/307547/? Jon and I disagree on approach and I'll be in the air during (post-)standup today so I won't be able to discuss there. [15:23:38] specifically, I feel adding a container within RA is unnecessary markup and does not solve the issue of the extension knowing about content anyways since we'd have to attach the container to the DOM in order to use isElementCloseToViewport [15:25:35] joakino, phuedx: additionally, if you have anything you'd like me to look at right now, please let me know as I'm blocked [15:30:22] right now my plan is to probably pick up one of the remaining spikes, especially since I can more easily look into those while offline [16:05:40] bearND_: mind looking again at https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/307888 [16:07:33] dbrant: not at all [17:02:34] is anybody having trouble with the standup hangout? [17:02:53] olliv: nope, has google unexpectedly signed you out? [19:47:49] nzr: o/ oddly specific question time. Can you confirm that the "Because you read" Feed card's header should have no subtitle? For example, if I read the Gene Wilder article, I see that the subtitle for the article is "American actor." The Feed card just shows "Gene Wilder" without the "American actor" subtitle. [19:50:39] niedzielski: yes. that's correct. desciptors give context about an article. and if we are saying you have read the article you already have the context. that's an assumption. but we do need to make sure the definition of "read" better so our assumption is a better estimate [19:51:01] nzr: ok cool. thanks!! [19:52:31] niedzielski: does that answer your question? [19:52:41] nzr: it does, thank you :]
