[16:31:43] niedzielski: is there a phab task where we can start cataloguing items that aren't appearing correctly in dark mode? (due to inline styles, wiki-specific styles, etc.) [16:31:53] or do you want separate tasks for each item? [16:33:32] o/ @dbrant T171326 is where non-regressions are being tracked [16:33:32] T171326: Add missing colors for certain elements to pagelib theme transform - https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T171326 [16:33:53] cool, thx! [16:33:57] dbrant: if you find a bunch of issues in one category, those should probably go in a new ticket [16:34:29] i've also asked ABorbaWMF_ to do some exploratory testing and update it or file new tickets [19:53:47] dbrant: i've noticed we're inconsistent about whether to download the black or white versions of material icons. should we standardize on one or the other? does it matter? [19:59:33] mdholloway: I haven't given it much thought, but I've been going by the color that will be most-used for that icon (so that it doesn't have to be tinted everywhere it's used). For example, the icons used in toolbars are always white, without tint. [19:59:53] then again, all the black versions of the icons are generally tinted certain shades of gray. [20:01:46] dbrant: yeah, good point about the toolbar icons. i've generally defaulted (i think) to black for no real reason, assuming we'd be tinting either way. [20:02:32] maybe i'll default to white then
