[18:00:07] mdholloway: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/398254 is ready [18:04:15] mdholloway: do we still need apps feedback for https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/395161? [18:05:21] bearND: i'll bump the email thread once more. i don't feel strongly about that getting deployed today or anything. [18:05:31] k [18:15:57] mdholloway: I think after https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/397867/ I can prep deployment. Or are there any other patches for today? [18:21:43] bearND: yeah, i'm ok with cutting it off there since https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/398040/ needs updating [22:30:47] dbrant: mdholloway > https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/402130 < would that be a problem for apps/ MCS ? [22:33:11] jdlrobson: I don't see it used by MCS but I think some older versions of the Android app might use it. [23:36:36] jdlrobson: bearND: i believe the android app stopped using the noimages in the latest release. there will be a long tail of older version users who might still be using it, though. [23:38:08] dbrant looked at the stats on it a while back and found that only 0.42% of users disable images. still, i'd feel bad for image-disabling suddenly breaking for those people. [23:38:47] especially people prevented from upgrading to the current app version due to having a low-cost device/legacy android version [23:55:04] mdholloway: thanks for the feedback. I'll talk with the other devs tomorrow. We're refactoring the MobileFormatter at the moment so im trying to cleanup any code we dont really need [23:55:12] we also disabled it on mobile web recently due to low usage
