[14:29:27] Good morning science people. [15:08:46] * halfak releases a new version of mwreverts [15:09:49] Hello, halfak and the world. [15:10:20] Wow I'm in Virginia [15:10:25] Wow ;) [15:10:39] Aren't you usually in Virginia? [15:11:04] No [15:16:09] k [15:49:09] good morning Ironholds lzia halfak guillom! How are you all? [15:49:19] Hello bearloga [15:49:37] hi bearloga. I'm doing okay, how are you? [15:51:01] leila: doing well, thanks! I think I'm done recovering from my weekend at Big Bear Lake. [15:53:24] ha! I bet you enjoyed your time there, bearloga. Was there some water? [15:55:53] leila: it was really sad to see marks of how big the lake used to be. but it was still a huge lake with really cold water that I regret but also don't regret jumping into. we also stayed in a creepy cabin and saw a splatter on the ceiling that looked like blood, so sleeping with that above me was GREAT. [15:57:14] yeah, the water situation is sad, we were in Yosemite two weeks ago and the smaller lakes there (like Mirror Lake) were completely out of water. No blood over our head in our case. ;-) [15:58:00] leila: oh wow :( [15:59:31] leila: when my gf and I were driving across the country in July, we saw signs for rivers in New Mexico and Arizona but there were no rivers. At best there was a thin stream with a big "___ River" sign by it. It was almost funny. Almost. [16:00:06] :-( [16:01:00] leila: Oh, we're thinking of going to Yosemite for our upcoming vacation. Any special tips? [16:01:16] camping guillom? [16:01:29] leila: No, camping doesn't agree with us :) [16:01:33] :D [16:01:38] Curry village? [16:02:35] We haven't made any plans yet; I'm wondering if going there in a few weeks is even possible, seeing that many places are still fully booked even though the high season has supposedly ended. [16:02:35] so, we usually camp but this last time we had guests with us so we stayed in one of the heated tents in Curry Village, guillom. Are you planning to stay in one of the lodges? (I have no experience with the lodges there.) [16:03:09] guillom: curry village heated tents have usually openings if you reserve 2-3 weeks in advance in this season. [16:03:25] guillom: it's better if you reserve now and change it later (7 days before the start of your stay for full refund) [16:03:48] have you been there guillom? [16:04:02] The only accommodation I could find there was unheated tents, so I was looking at more remote lodging; I need to figure out how much time it takes to drive around the park. [16:04:36] I only went there once 5 years ago, and we only stayed one day (and camped outside the park) [16:04:38] the park has shuttles until later in the season, I think. You can go everywhere with the shuttles. [16:04:47] got it, lemme check [16:05:52] For example there are rooms around Mammoth, which could be nice for exploring the east part, but I'm guessing we need to find a place on the west side as well to explore the valley [16:06:39] is there the option of going in the middle of the week (swapping weekend and weekday work schedule?) [16:07:32] I'm taking ~2 weeks, so we can go any time during that :) Probably the first 2 weeks of October. [16:12:32] guillom: so for Oct. 14-16, for example, I see availability in the heated tents [16:12:37] I think the week before that it's full. [16:13:00] (there reservation system is a bit strange, I somehow can't manage to say that I want only heated and look at those options, guillom) [16:14:32] my general recommendation is to stay in Curry Village if you can, guillom, and then use the park shuttle to go wherever you want to go, or drive yourself. Curry Village is nice, it has food options, and it's close to the start of many trails. [16:15:33] Come to Minnesota. We have like 20k lakes and they all have the usual amount of water. ;) [16:17:17] haha, halfak. :D [16:27:59] * molliug is back, sort of. [16:28:20] Sorry, leila. My server is apparently offline and so is my IRC bouncer :( [16:28:35] np guillom. [16:36:37] guillom: I'm sure you'll enjoy https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikimedia-l/2015-September/079142.html [16:37:03] Emufarmers: I did. [17:59:25] * halfak watches his content persistence pipeline churn through revisions. [23:44:14] hello all, I am trying to do a query to find all the IP talk pages deleted before 2008. This is in an effort to restore revision histories per [[w:WP:DELTALK]], which didn't exist then [23:44:56] starting with just a count, I've got: `SELECT COUNT(*) FROM enwiki_p.logging_logindex WHERE CAST(log_timestamp AS TIME) < CAST('2008-01-01' AS TIME) AND log_type = "delete" AND log_namespace = 3 AND log_title RLIKE "\d+\\.\d+\\.\d+\\.\d+";` [23:45:12] this hangs indefinitely with no result :( [23:53:42] MusikAnimal, I don't think that will match an IP address... [23:53:50] ( RLIKE "\d+\\.\d+\\.\d+\\.\d+") [23:54:59] maybe RLIKE "[0-9]+\.[0-9]+\.[0-9]+\.[0-9]+" [23:54:59] it'd match IPv4, no? I need \\ instead of \ to escape [23:55:21] +----------------+ [23:55:21] | '1' rlike "\d" | [23:55:21] +----------------+ [23:55:21] | 0 | [23:55:22] +----------------+ [23:55:23] 1 row in set (0.02 sec) [23:56:12] hmm ok so MariaDB doesn't like \d I take it? [23:58:12] either way the issue for me is that I can't get a result [23:58:31] it just sits there? [23:58:45] just sits there
