[12:01:05] I'm going to dump my brain for a moment. [12:01:13] Proposed workflow for migration of citations to Librarybase and/or Wikidata: [12:01:25] We do the automated stuff, like DOIs and ISBNs. Easy stuff that we can mine. [12:01:38] Then, when it comes time to do the rest, we don't have a bot, but create a tool to let people do it article by article. [12:02:43] Before an article can be migrated to the central database, every citation will have to be proper. VisualEditor can tell when a citation does not use a proper citation template. They offer a "convert" button that converts it. Once the citations are converted, then they are added to Librarybase. [12:03:00] This way we have all the necessary metadata when migrating to Librarybase. It also leads to improvement on Wikipedia. [13:58:57] o/ [14:00:15] halfak: o/ [14:53:33] \o_ [15:25:45] * halfak tries to find some documentation about the benchmarking proposal [16:20:25] http://www.phdcomics.com/comics.php?f=1869 [17:55:54] guillom: The requested URL was rejected. [18:30:25] halfak, could you send out that vandalism demo to the e2 list? It seems relevant to our future roadmap. [18:30:36] * HaeB tries to console halfak : the same issue (installing the bluejeans plugin) prevented me from presenting in the showcase too some months ago.. [18:31:46] Thanks HaeB. Tried to run a test this morning, but you can't try to screenshare until the "moderator" joins. [18:31:48] :( [18:32:06] matt_flaschen, had no idea the e2 list was still active. [18:33:01] halfak: could add that factoid to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Blue_Jeans ... [18:34:50] halfak, it is. It's a private list, but you could get it approved. Alternatively, have you sent it to wikitech-l? [18:34:52] I could forward it. [18:35:01] Or wiki-research-l [18:37:00] matt_flaschen, seems like it might be better to share when there is a recording of me talking though the demo. [18:37:07] Otherwise I'd end up sending it out twice. [18:37:20] Also, FWIW, I send lots of stuff re. revscoring to wikitech & wiki-research-l :) [18:37:40] halfak, okay, fair enough. [18:39:11] Hmm... actually, I don't see my last message in the archives. [18:39:24] Was titled "Updates to ORES service & BREAKING CHANGE on April 7th" [18:40:37] halfak, I see it in my email. [18:40:45] OK good :) [18:40:50] Via wiki-research-l. [18:40:54] Oh [18:41:29] halfak. but it's tagged with labels for wikitech and that. Based on past experience, I think it might be arbitrary which you see if you're subscribed to more than one. [18:42:01] Still I should see it on the archive page https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikitech-l/2016-April/thread.html [18:46:28] halfak, yeah, it should be there, since it's in that date range and you used the correct email address. Maybe it's in the moderation queue. You could try asking one of the moderators (maybe aklapper). [18:47:59] Just found platonides on IRC. Trying to ask him for help [18:48:14] Glad you brought this up. [18:48:20] The email was announcing a breaking change! [19:02:21] HaeB, could I bug you to help me test screensharing in bluejeans? [19:06:52] ^ nevermind, I think i have it worked out. [19:10:01] halfak: cool, let me know otherwise [19:57:42] o/ YuviPanda [19:57:52] I want to either bikeshed the name PAWS or decide not to [19:57:59] ah [19:58:01] Do we have a good way to contact all PAWS-interested folk [19:58:03] PAWS: A Web SHell [19:58:20] I would like to not bikeshed unless there are significant other oppositions / choices [19:58:37] YuviPanda, just thinking what the P would stand for. [19:58:43] Also OK to not bikeshed it. [19:58:47] it could standf or PAWS [19:58:59] Oh! Recursive [19:59:03] indeed. [19:59:07] Works for me [19:59:11] cool :) [19:59:20] Bit really, I was thinking about how to talk about proposals like a name change [19:59:29] Was looking at an old email from Sean re. versioning [19:59:35] indeed. there isn't really a way now. [19:59:40] And thinking that it belongs in a thread [19:59:42] ugh, I need to get back to Sean about things, and book flights and hotels. [20:00:19] halfak: in a phab ticket, probably [20:00:31] although I'm not sure how to have the people not on phab participate
