[16:46:24] dsaez: I'm looking into translation options. will ping soon. [16:48:56] dsaez: check this out https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Content_translation/Translation_tools [16:55:53] dsaez: not sure if that helps but I have been working with multilingual word vectors, in case you need pointers :) [16:58:16] miriam_: while dsaez is not reading here (;): you remember the section alignment Diego picked up a while ago? He has the intuition that instead of following the approach he was using, we can use automatic translation to translate section titles and that will do better than what we can achieve with other methods. We decided to give this a try. [16:58:35] miriam_: at the very least, this can work as a nice and most obvious baseline for the other methods for section alignment. [16:58:57] miriam_: and if it solves the problem we have for translating sections, we will make one big step forward. ;) [17:00:37] makes a lot of sense to me! in case you need to 'soft' match across languages, word embeddings might help :) [17:01:33] yuup. :) [19:35:17] dsaez and/or halfak: can you get virtualenv to work on the stats machines? or is it not advisable/possible? I tried but it does not really work for me.. [19:35:20] thanks!
