[15:06:34] hi all, just a reminder that monhtly Research office hours will take place in ~1hour. join here via WIkimedia-meet https://meet.wmcloud.org/ResearchOfficeHours [15:06:44] more information here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Research/Office_hours [15:10:44] exciiiiting. [17:04:15] mgerlach: nice job. [18:41:57] isaacj: re why the world reads wp meeting tomorrow, here is my update. 1) you can cancel the meeting. We are discussing the publication over email and my todo that I promised to you and diego is to resolve that and come back to you. I expect us to have an answer by next week the latest. 2) there is a discussion about submitting the gender-focused part of the work to another venue (as is). this is FYI. If you [18:41:57] have suggestions for venue, let me know. My current thinking is potentially ICWSM, given that the deadline is Sep. 15. [18:43:06] done -- thanks for the reminder [18:43:34] sounds fine to me though i'd love it if someone took on the reformatting that would be required for an ICWSM submission then [18:50:47] isaacj: yup. I have that in mind, especially for a venue like ICWSM the formatting work can be major. I'm also open to consider other venues to make it easier. do let me know if you have other ideas. (peer-reviewed ideally) [19:17:33] i'll think about it but switching to a CS-oriented conference generally means a big change in format as far as I know unless we do a workshop that has less strict formatting requirements or non-archival options (FAcct https://facctconference.org/ has this but I frankly don't know how good of a fit this work is for that without a reworking of content too to be focused e.g., on the pageviews as source of importance for recommender [19:17:33] systems line of thinking)
