[18:45:43] <isaacj_>	 awight for when you're back, we (wikimedia research team) chatted about your question (messages for phab updates on research tasks) and didn't have a clear use-case for it but were hesitant to fill the channel with all of those updates because in our experience it can be a lot to wade through on other channels. so from our standpoint, the thought was not to add the functionality at this point.
