[21:27:13] good afternoon everyone!!!! I just discovered how to write time ranges in a maniphest searches. there is absolutely no documentation on this. ... It just showed up in some random UI [21:27:38] however this allows a user to search for tasks within detailed time ranges [21:28:24] if you want to know if anything happened in your backlog in "the last 3 days" you can now do this with a search that you don't need to update [21:29:00] I just had to throw that out there. I'm super excited [21:41:23] wooo! [21:41:36] what's the syntax? [21:44:21] so I'm testing to figure out how accurate it is but if you want to check anything created in the last 5 days you can use "5 days ago" [21:45:03] but the day begins at 12:01 AM UTC [21:45:09] so be careful with that [21:45:46] if you want more precision, you can also write: "12:15 AM 5 days ago" [21:46:15] also the 5th day is the day we are currently in [21:47:15] so as I write this, if I were to search for items "5 days ago" it will look for anything created on or after 12:01 AM on 7/16/2015 UTC time [21:48:26] I'm writing this all down on the search page. [21:48:34] the wiki page I created [21:52:35] does that make sense? [21:52:52] yes. very cool. [21:53:04] maybe we can submit the documentation as a patch [21:57:33] lol umm I don't even know where they would put it. Maniphest has no internal documentation and no UX to send users anywhere to find it. the main phabricator site is extremely limited. [21:59:39] the "Updated" fields are still very limited. If you move a task from one column to another on a board it counts as being "updated" so you are going to get a lot of noise there... especially in a sprint [22:33:07] dstrine takes on the phab docs \o/ ! [22:33:21] yar! [22:33:39] I just added a whole lot of info to the search page [23:35:10] dstrine, marked up your Maniphest use cases [23:35:21] thanks [23:35:43] responding to your email about VE and research
