[04:23:11] halfak, T13|sleeps - Snuggler alert. Canvass Anna_Frodesiak as she's a reaally apt snuggler (Even does the same thing we're doing without the tools) [04:48:30] tos? [04:48:36] so i click the new user [04:48:45] i get the box [04:48:45] then what? [04:48:53] i click his contribs to see what he's up to? [04:49:00] No! [04:49:16] Do you see the graph in the middle? [04:49:25] yes [04:49:32] Click on any of the boxes there [04:49:59] ok i see [04:50:15] That previews all diffs for what they're doing in that edit. Every box = An edit, every column = A different day [04:50:47] ok and it pops up a box [04:50:49] that box sort of gets in the way [04:50:54] how do i make it go away [04:51:03] ok click elsewhere [04:51:05] i got it [04:51:34] this thing may be triggering the china firewall [04:51:39] awb does that [04:51:43] Once you know if a user is Good Faith, Bad Faith, or Ambiguous, you can classify them using the R/G/Y buttons, and click on "action" [04:51:46] that's why i don't use it [04:51:51] Ouch :( [04:52:19] ok so then i click green lets say [04:52:24] and it cats that user into green [04:52:26] then what? [04:52:39] You can also use Action [04:52:47] Action allowed you to send them a message/invite them to teahouse/report to AIV [04:53:22] can i auto send a level 1 vandal report? [04:53:23] R/G/Y is mainly to make sure Snuggle's interface learns and classifies the newer editors better [04:54:02] why is this better than awb? [04:54:05] Not yet. We've yet to add that. But halfak would probably be able to add it. [04:54:31] Look for the sort by desirablity at the top - Try the "ascending order" [04:55:15] Snuggle tries to learn which traits are good faith and bad faith. Which allows you to view the "most desirable" or the "least desirable" newcomers. [04:55:49] And it's pretty accurate with that, making it a lot easier to welcome/report them :) [04:56:59] (Also, the right side shows how many warning templates/messages the user gets; making it easier for us to know about the user) [04:57:25] Anna_Frodesiak, ^ [04:58:53] ok so i'm still not sure what this does [04:59:04] it seems like it categorizes users for later action [04:59:13] but can help with very basic actions right now [04:59:51] Yes. [05:01:24] sorry had to reset connection [05:01:30] No worries [05:02:32] I think that apart from the desirablity ratings, currently the most important benefit is from the interface that shows you most of what you'd want to know about the user at a single place. Of course, we're still developing and modifying it, so feedback would be welcome :) [05:04:26] ok [05:05:25] well for now it seems to give me firewall probs. plus, just clicking contribs gives me the scoop and i can then take action pretty fast. it's usually welcome, warn 1,2,3 type of thing, or block, or maybe something special, like giving help etc [05:05:48] so i get a list, and i click contribs and that's one click and i get the picture [05:05:58] that's pretty fast [05:06:00] I see. [05:06:15] also, from what i remember of awb, that was pretty good too. [05:06:19] The firewall would be an issue, possibly major [05:06:34] I personally havent used AWB so I cant say :) [05:06:36] ill get back to snuggle after a while and see if it's still blocking me and try it again [05:06:46] awb is great if it still does what it did [05:06:46] Sure :) [05:07:12] it just went through recent changes, showing diffs and you could auto-act [05:07:22] Nice! [05:07:24] revert, rev warn, rev report, etc [05:07:43] try it and it may give you insight into where snuggle could go and where it overlaps [05:07:45] Its like STiki then, i suppose, no? [05:07:54] i can't remembe stiki [05:07:58] im not big on tools [05:08:00] Ok [05:08:02] i will try stiki [05:08:11] Snuggle is focused on editors, STiki on edits [05:08:22] Thats the most important difference [05:08:52] ah i see [05:09:00] yes stiki looks like awb to me [05:09:00] http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/ed/STiki_screenshot.png [05:09:25] Yes. [05:09:32] so how many editors a minute can you process with snuggle [05:10:20] I dont remember how many I did, but I can see james did 3 a minute yesterday [05:10:33] nice [05:10:49] So it would be about 2-3 a minute, if you're working at full speed, I suppose [05:12:35] Do you mind if I pester you for feedback? We'd really use it! Is there any feature you'll want to see here? Or maybe something that needs to change in Snuggle? :) [05:21:32] Anna_Frodesiak, ^ [05:41:12] ok [05:41:22] i'm not sure i know how it works well enough to give feedback [05:41:45] I see. [05:41:59] Hopefully you'll come back to try it again [05:45:44] i will indeed [05:45:52] thanks and sorry to waste your time :) [05:47:25] You didnt waste any time :) [12:38:07] T13|sleeps, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chandralekha_%281948_film%29&diff=565577008&oldid=565129387 -_- [12:38:21] ???
