[00:36:46] @seen penwhale [00:36:47] L235: Last time I saw Penwhale they were leaving the channel #wikimedia-commons at 1/30/2015 7:51:48 AM (15d16h44m58s ago) [01:38:42] I trust: .*@.*[Ww]iki.*\/.* (2operator), .*@freenode/.* (2admin), .*@wikipedia/fsf.member.Lixxx235 (2admin), .*@unaffiliated/-leo-/.* (2null), .*@wikimedia-commons/JurgenNL (2admin), [01:38:42] @trusted [15:20:11] Attempting to join #wikipedia-en-help using wm-bot [15:20:11] @join #wikipedia-en-help [18:08:50] petan: I'm debating trying to write a wm-bot GUI in VisualBasic. Thoughts? [18:10:15] I'm in an introduction to class this semester and will be taking the advanced class later this year. So, it'll be like a class project. [18:11:00] I'm debating running my own instance of wm-bot for privacy concerns. [18:11:56] For the class project at least. I'd like to actually use it for the running version of wm-bot if I get it working right. [19:02:26] good luck :P [19:02:44] why visual basic? [19:02:53] c# is similar and more popular [19:06:35] Because it is a VisualBasic class. Lol [19:11:51] how do you want to connect to bot? [19:12:08] you should create some c# module I guess [19:12:22] SSH directly in? [19:12:30] and then? [19:12:51] gui that only provides ssh terminal is not gonna be much of a gui [19:12:54] :) [19:13:12] if you want to control the bot you should probably connect to it somehow [19:13:44] Was going to add buttons and whatnot that will pass commands through the command line. [19:14:14] well you can't really do much from a command line [19:14:23] you can only telnet to bot and then you can use some [19:14:37] Anyways, back in a bit, need to do what my nick says I'm doing. [19:15:17] T13|playingDad: do you want to be my dad? :-) [19:18:49] ... [19:19:08] Okay. [19:19:11] Back [19:20:26] petan: I want to be able to have the tool reset bouncers and send messages from bot and whatever... [19:22:18] Fix nick issues, I also noticed that error messages don't come back to me in telnet. [19:22:40] And would like to make that happen in the tool. [19:23:09] Spent half a day figuring out why wm-bot3 couldn't fix nick the other day. [19:24:03] Apparently, there was a channel it was in where it was banned. I had to JOIN 0, fix the NICK, then kill/conn to make it rejoin all channels.
